  3. If he gets dropped no one will care. It's a non issue.
  4. Frenchsoup should be allowed to keep Ortiz if he wants to with a place holder. Spittin made the right call.
  5. Koji Uehara and KingFillers 4th round waiver goes to burlingtonbandit for his 2nd round waiver and 5th round milb pick I processed it on the spreadsheet and he can confirm KingFiller cuts Joan Gregorio and Daniel Palka, will proceed with 22 MLB players through the cut
  6. And bad news for Jace Peterson.
  7. This is incredible. Wow!
  8. I didn't really want to go down this rabbit hole but as Hurl once said about Ryan Freel, one is too many. Rick Rypien, Derek Boogaard, Wade Belak, the list goes on. Maybe you're just old school but every single person I know supports the decrease on fighting movement. I don't see any fun in watching two fourth line plugs drop the gloves off the faceoff. Fights that are as a result of the emotion or intensity of the game are fine and thats the way it should be. And yes there's a lot of high skill involved in hockey now with passing, skating. People enjoy watching Connor McDavid skate wheels around everyone or Patrick Kane stickhandle through no room.
  9. Same thing he based his Conner Greene hate on.

  11. 83 SRF SRF checks unfortunately checks a high number of boxes on the risk profile for future relief pitching. Durability and health questions? Check. Inconsistent Mechanics? Check. Underdeveloped change? Check. Occasional Command issues? Check. On the plus side, he also checks off could have a wipe fastball/slider combo, which means he could be a really good reliever. He does have a starters body and progressed enough in 2016 that relief pitching is more of a possible outcome than destiny. holy s*** stop the mans already dead

  13. Use image tags instead of the insert image button
  14. Some teams already do it! This was in 2015. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/113690150/cubs-rangers-prospects-to-face-off-in-futures-game/ MESA, Ariz. -- The top prospects on the Cubs and the Rangers will meet March 30 at Sloan Park in a spring Futures Game, with a portion of the net proceeds from ticket sales benefiting the Mesa Diamond Project.
  15. Maybe we could sort each teams organizational players by talent level and send them off to different baseball clubs around the country, and then have each team play each other in 3-4 games series routinely throughout the summer. Wow!
  16. AFL is for ~5-7 players (with 3-4 of them usually being fringe, 30-40 FV at best) from each organization to get playing time if they missed it during the regular season. It's not really the same! It would be what the Futures Game is, just for individual organizations and done before the season.
  17. I always thought team prospect/showcase games would be cool. The NHL has a variety of prospect tournaments where teams send their prospects to play exhibition games against other teams prospects before the season starts. They could host them in MLB ballparks. And infuse it with the rookie development program they do every offseason. Jays team C - McGuire 1B - Tellez 2B - Urena SS - Gurriel 3B - Vlad CF - Alford OF - Woodman OF - Ramirez DH - Pentecost BN - Bichette/others SP - SRF RP - Greene/Harris/Zeuch/Rios/Perdomo/Borucki/others Don't think they need to change the Futures Game. It's a pretty great event already IMO.
  18. It's David Jacob. Please show some respect for a top 10 pick.
  19. Why are you keeping David Ortiz?
  20. By outside influences you mean the # of former players/fighters that suffered CTE and lost their lives because of it, right?
  21. This isn't a standard MLB should hold itself to
  22. I like college baseball but it gets 0 coverage in Canada
