  1. Some high school/draft questions - Did you know you were going to get drafted by the Blue Jays? Did any other teams show interest pre-draft? - Did you play against Bo Bichette, PK Morris or Travis Hosterman in high school? - Who was the best player you played against in high school and pro ball? I'm not sure how you would word this question, but I'd like to hear some funny stories from pro ball. As minor leaguers are always up to shenanigans. these are probably bad questions but I'll post more later today
  2. holy f***, what is this?
  3. Holy s***, Alex Meyer is 29.
  4. Might be an effective LOOGY. Has good numbers vs LHB
  5. Atkins not protecting Romano then trading away Panas? Confirmed racist against canadians
  6. Edwin Jackson next, please
  7. Fap fap fap
  8. (Luis Gil, Nick Nelson, Deivi Garcia, Tanner Myatt, Clarke Schmidt)
  9. can we bring Rowdy Tellez ex girlfriend on the podcast for a therapy session (and to spill the details on how he ruined her life)
  10. Lucroy signs for 1 year 3 mil with the Angels. Crazy to see how far he's fallen off. Still, huge upgrade for the Angels who were projected to start... Kevan Smith and Jose Briceno at catcher.
  11. Was Samad Taylor considered too prospecty?
  12. 6.54 era 33 ip 17k 15bb 45% gb
  13. Alejandro Kirk is basically Willians Astudillo
  14. okay delete this thread mods
  15. Palacios intrigues me as a post-draft hype sleeper. I don't think he has been discussed by any after his poor 2017 season. I think he has enough tools to be, at least, a 40 man roster outfielder and if he hits in AA, he could be a September callup next year. I believe he has to be added to the 40 man roster next offseason so that only helps his chances. Could be a Pompey replacement!
  16. that's not the point And yes, I think there is some attempt made to keep him. It may not work but I don't think they drafted him with the plan of just sending him back.
  17. Hi everyone, I would like to see predictions for Lucianos first season. Let's say ERA, IP, K, BB, GB%. This comes after the discussion on the podcast, which has me intrigued.
  18. I would like to see you guys discuss the following prospects: Cal Stevenson Alejandro Kirk Otto Lopez Hagen Danner (will add more in a bit)
  19. Josh Winckowski is really good. Curious to see where he goes in the upcoming LoD draft. Those high school late round signs are so volatile. Travis Hosterman was taken 4 rounds earlier in the same draft, signed for 400k (the 4th highest bonus given out in the Jays '16 draft class behind the big 3 of Bichette, Woodman and Zoinks), pitched ~15 innings, and hasn't pitched again. Granted, he blew his arm out. disappointed no one made a trackman readouts reference when 190 wRC+ was mentioned near the end of the podcast
  20. The rant about Luciano being eligible was misguided. It was a loophole to a rule that has since been patched. I read that Luciano is the last player that would have been eligible to be taken before this patch was in place. Also, I don't think it's unfair to him at all. He pretty much wins the lottery here if he spends any amount of time in the major leagues. And the minimum pension after 43 days of service time. Pretty certain every player in rookie ball who signs for $85,000 would take that in a heartbeat and not look back. +1 for MLB Pipeline grades being BS. It's a load of garbage. I think the Anibal hate is unwarranted. He obviously was lucky last year to an extent last year but he projects to be a league average starter with good ratios, which is an okay piece. Kendall Graveman signed with the Cubs.
  21. fix the board its broken
  22. Merry Christmas Big B. And thanks to everyone who has voted for me.
  23. get Carson on the podcast
  24. Heyman is literally a puppet. You can be certain anytime a big story breaks (by someone else, of course) Heyman will be there "confirming" the report 2 to 3 minutes after even though he doesn't know s***. Like clockwork.
