  1. I think there is a good collection of guys here who would like to replace Melky with someone half his price that has undervalued tools which would provide similar value(defense). Melky is probably going to demand 3/48
  2. It's going to be a stupidly good team in 2020. All the current NBAers + Trey Lyles + Thon (possibly) + all the future Canadians who get drafted in the next 4-5 years
  3. Duda was easily my best pickup of the season, fyi
  4. Do you really not know who Aubrey Plaza is?
  5. Given all the aspects of that trade, I think we both came out pretty well
  6. Hah. Indeed. He has been losing a bit of playing time lately + I have some belief that Peralta and Smith should make a good 3rd OF going forward
  7. I spoke to Hurl very briefly yesterday, he is still alive. Still insanely busy though
  8. Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 53m The Cubs have hired Baseball Prospectus prospect maven and all-around mediocre guy @ProfessorParks as a scout. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=24524#commentMessage
  9. Woah. His eFG% was a career high .413 last year, lol!
  10. Agreed. His upside is stupid good. That article means nothing to me really, it's just the general manager being cautious with his elite talent. Sit out a little extra at 19 years old to give him the best chance at being healthy. Imagine if people wrote off Blake Griffin after he missed a full season with his knee injury? Guy has only missed 4 games in 4 seasons since then.
  11. The way they have handled him is beyond bizarre. 70 wRC+ in Low A...late season promotion!
  12. Good thing I am pretty much eliminated now because Lincecum Ubaldo and Chavez have all been moved to the bullpen! #D'oh
  13. If anyone has #2/#3/#4 type pitchers available, let me know! Looking to acquire one or possibly two, depending on the deal
  14. 68 isn't struggling anyway lol, 13.5 pitches per inning gets you through 7 on 95 pitches. I'd say that's pretty good
  15. It really is tough to find a balance. I'm doing my best to be like the Cubs, stacking as much offensive talent as I can and then moving a couple pieces for some pitching when I'm ready to contend
  16. It's well known that hitters are better for longevity. The bust rate is also higher for pitchers than position players It's a great rebuild because they can always do the opposite of this season. Trade a high rated hitting prospect for prime starter when they need it.
  17. Perhaps. Doesn't change my opinion that they have done a near perfect rebuild, though
  18. I doubt it. They have so much offensive depth, they should be able to acquire a good starter when they need it. Already have Arrieta, Wood is a capable back end starter (projected 4.24 FIP from zips) as well as Wada.
  19. Love the way Chicago rebuilt their team. Going to be really scary when 2016 rolls around
  20. Hahaha. What a guy. First the Colangelo nomination then taking the ice water with no reaction whatsoever and to top it off he screams and goes crazy eyes
  21. http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1342135&sid=4eabc6257766b7f5aedfdf2f7463dbe4 If you feel like getting more depressed about TL leaving, read this
