He should be able to get one last contract (2/3 year deal) but I guess he wants more family time. He already got enough money.

    Uh Delabar hasn't been as good as advertised. Certainly not as good as last year. His control is awful. I would put Cecil first before him. Amazing how close he was to not making the team.

    I thought AA said a few months back that they are abandoning the idea of McGowan in the rotation? What gives? Unless they are stretching him out for a long-relief role..

    So it seems my pre-season prediction that DeRosa would rake was correct. The guy's wrist has fully healed and in ST he showed good pop. I think he certainly deserves more than a bench role - if anything, at least a platoon role. Moving forward we may see less of Boni/Izzy and more of DeRosa. Lincoln continues to s*** the bed, which is depressing cause last year he was NAILS for Pittsburgh. The guy has pretty nasty stuff but it seems his fastball is just straight. I'm thinking as soon as McGowan is ready Lincoln will go down. If Rogers continues to s*** the bed too, I wonder if we'll see a guy like Stroman (if he doesn't get a rotation spot)

    Klaw, everyone's favorite scout wrote awhile back wrote why your best hitter should be hitting 2 (but unfortunately it was insider) However, that unfortunately results in Arencibia hitting clean-up which isn't all that great.

    If you're gonna punish Lawrie you're gonna have to punish Bautista too. Both of them are pretty whiny on twitter and pretty easy to troll and get a response. Unfortunately Jay Stenhouse and the rest of the front office have sat idly by ever since they started these twitter tirades and done nothing. Don't expect anything to come out of it. I trust you if Lawrie was not Canadian he would get a bad rap from Jays fans and be labeled a headcase.

    You know, I got to commend Romero for all his talk about confidence and saying "he deserves to be here"..but seriously, all he does is talk and his body language and mentality show otherwise. This s*** has been going on for more than a year now. The guy needs to accept that he has to show he's a major league pitcher. His numbers has shown he isn't anymore. Yet the guy has the balls to go to the media and probably the front office and tell them that he's good.

    Ya I'm surprised that we don't hear a whole lot about Storey - I think that guy is more of a 1 inning pitcher though, right? He could end up being more useful than Rogers...
