  1. Yeah, I could see them having Edgar as long-relief while Lincoln replaces Happ.
  2. The guy has a knee brace so he needs room - cab won't cut it. A limo is good but it's an unnecessary expenditure when you already have a bus with you. Plus, he may have people coming along with him - dont' want the cab to be crowded with 2-3 people when you need space.
  3. Jonathan Sanchez clears waivers, is unconditionally released by the #Pirates -letsgetheem?
  4. What's the 'good' alternative?
  5. Blame the umpires for not calling it a deadball. There's nothing Tampa/Jays could do until they made the call. If the Jays had more concern about Happ than the game then they wouldn't have got the ball. They all would have loligagged to the mound until the umpire called time. But as you can see, both Arencibia and Bautista admitted that they couldn't do much until play stopped. That's the technicality of baseball. Just have to deal with it.
  6. cause he sucks.
  7. bitch please, it's all technical. If you want to bitch about Escobar then how about you bitch at Arencibia for guarding the plate (and not tending to Happ). Or how about Bautista for not running all the way from RF (and instead retrieving the foul ball) Everyone in the game knows that the ball is live until indicated otherwise. Folks here are just looking for new things to hate on Escobar. s***, even that maricon business wasn't bad to begin with.
  8. Yeah it looks like that. The benefits of being tall and lanky..
  9. Lind playing well means no Morneau for the Jays at the deadline. Then again, even if he was stinking it up, we wouldn't make a trade since we'd be out of it.
  10. Barry Davis ‏@SNBarryDavis 8m Happ has just left Bayfront Medical Centre in St Petes. Had a bandage on his head and was on crutches. Right knee appears injured. #bluejays
  11. Dodgers have the best chance. Angels the worst. Jays not far from behind. It has to do with the rotation. Dodgers have the best of the three and they can come back. Angels are just pathetic, forget about them. The Jays have a good three of Dickey, Morrow and Johnson. However, I have no faith in Buehrle or Romero, or whoever has to replace Happ.
  12. So...he can make his next start?
  13. Released? So perhaps there is no fracture? Just concussion and swelling?
  14. No, they won't, but they have enough of a track record that they don't need to produce like they are in order to be productive. Same with Lester. Pre season, I think everyone was expecting a lot of 'IF's' from that rotation. So far they have shown that the rotation is solid. As for the offense, they don't have any star power. But they have a lot of good average players. I'm sure people here were thinking that Napoli was done. Still unsure of that bullpen though.
  15. If this happened like 2 months from now it'd be Sean Nolin ;/
  16. That's all on EE you noobs. He slammed his bat down and then the helmet, then chirped
  17. I'm guessing left orbital fracture. Looks like it hit him on the temple. Done for the season.
  18. There's nothing wrong with scoring on that play. Yeah it was after he got hit but it's baseball. It's technical.
  19. They'll call up Nolin. It would be Jenkins but he just got off the DL I think?
  20. Happ really doesn't have the stuff that warrants all those walks. He's turning into Laffey. Let's hope he has decent control.
  21. I'm not worried. He's swinging at a lot of mistake pitches and not punishing them. His timing is maybe off due to his two earlier injuries.
  22. How devastating would it be if Reyes came back at the end of June...only to reaggravate his injury ala Bautista Take as much time as you want Reyes. Realistically we are done for the year and we need a healthy Reyes prepped for next year.

  24. Put him on waivers. The Dodgers will get him.
