I must wonder why Stroman has a propensity to give up the longball then. His FB looked pretty straight in ST. Perhaps his height really is a disadvantage since the point of release for shorties like Stroman is a lot lower than your average pitcher.

lol no way is Lawrie going to win a batting title or home run title. He's a line drive hitter. I can definitely see him settling to be a Longoria type. .280 to .320 15-20 HR Superb D -
The stats are nice but give the hitters some time. Control is good though.

yankees stadium notoriously gets bad crowds on the home opener. Doesn't help that it's an afternoon game and prices are ridiculous. on a related note, David Robertson is on the DL. Rogers Centre - Aggravating injuries since 1989.

Disappointed that Halladay isn't wearing his old jersey. But then again, there are probably MLB rules against that. Would be nice if he came to the mound with his pitching wind-up too, rather than a lazy lob to homeplate.
