  1. Off the top of my head: 1.) Tanaka 2.) Abreu 3.) Springer Stroman started late so I wouldn't include him in that group. I'd even put Bogaerts and Solarte ahead of him now. But give it another few weeks of quality starts and he'll be competing for 3rd.
  2. Perhaps this is a hint that Dickey may miss his next spot, and needs one of the two mop-ups to spot start?
  3. John Lott ‏@LottOnBaseball ·36s Delabar, obviously disappointed, said he was told move made because he had options, others didn't, needed another bench guy while Lind heals - I guess we may see him back in 15 days or whatever the minimum limit it is
  4. Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi ·26s Steve Delabar says he ended up odd man out because he has options.New York, NY
  5. "Barry Davis ‏@SNBarryDavis ·28 secs Delabar will address the media before heading to Buffalo. I don't expect him to be all that happy with the move. #bluejays" don't say things you'll regret buddy
  6. It's a good move because now he can be used in any situation to get enough reps to fix that s***** delivery. As opposed to the past few weeks where we couldn't afford to throw him in any close game.
  7. "John Lott ‏@LottOnBaseball ·1 min Asked what's up, Delabar says, "go talk to the guys in charge." Those guys are on the manager 's office with the door closed. ."
  8. Blue Jays-Official ‏@BlueJays ·13 secs The @BlueJays have recalled INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI from @BuffaloBisons (AAA) and have optioned RHP STEVE DELABALLS to Buffalo.
  9. To be fair, this did come out from left field. Unless he is diagnosed with right arm shittyness.
  10. Surprised no one posted yet, but it's Delaballs to the DL
  11. Esmil Rogers can be the next Chavez. He has the stuff to do it.
  12. Doesn't hurt for a guy like him to pitch in that ballpark. I still don't understand how he had that K rate in the minors with us despite not touching higher than 90.
  13. Although every now and then there is a trade that makes you wonder "you only gave that much?" The one I can recall is the Indians-Phillies trade for Lee.
  14. I don't know how it's calculated on the backend, but do you think Lawrie starting as a 3B, and then moving into right field for the shift would affect the metrics?
  15. No one can argue against Lawrie having more value at 3B than at 2B. But Lawrie has shown that he can play 2B, which keeps our options open. If we can't find a 2B that suits our needs, then it's best that we keep an option open on acquiring a 3B. There really aren't a whole lot of appealing options either for 2B. The ones I'd look at are Dozier and Murphy, but I lean towards the latter.
  16. Here are the 3B that could be available (teams out of contention) -Beltre (possible) -Wright (huge contract, + team captain = seems unlikely) -Longoria (within division, impossible) -Headley (POS) -Dominguez (meh) -Plouffe (ok bat, bad defender)
