  1. we can all play that game Jays Goins Red Sox Peddy Yankees Castro
  2. perfectly fine depth option. But if we see him at all in the majors then there is something wrong with this team.
  3. why? It's not like his skills are diminished. Everyone knows he can get the job done as a GM. Maybe he wants a role that is less demanding for now. It's no different than the Yankees having Chapman as their primarily closer and Miller end up being a set-up man. Just cause he got demoted doesn't mean all other 29 teams don't think he can be a closer anymore.
  4. Tony Grossi ‏@TonyGrossi #Browns naming Paul DePodesta an exec VP. Interestingly, I heard yesterday Jimmy Haslam offered job to ex-Tribe prez Mark Shapiro in August.
  5. I was going to talk about being able to survive the rigors of a full season (and not so much about injury), but then I read a sabr article that pretty much s*** on my face http://sabr.org/research/does-pitcher-s-height-matter tldr: Height doesn't matter.
  6. I'll take Thor over Stroman simply due to the body difference (I know). I'm more comfortable with Thor throwing 200 innings in a season than Stroman. I think the former would last longer.
  7. not only is it unorthodox if he had made the same deal with any other team, but the fact that the free spending Dodgers were willing to get that deal..
  8. 8 years 24 million for Maeda. Over 10 million per year in incentives That is a very low risk, high reward deal.
  9. edit: I stand corrected, wtf that lady is ridiculous. Clean with one arm at 215 pounds?!! da fuuuq edit2: nvm she said deadlift 215. Jsut saw videos of a few clean and jerking with one arm 150 ish Guess it can be done!
  10. lol wat if you ever been to a gym you'd know that is definitely not 6 x 45. There is no one in the world that is strong enough to lift a barbell with 6 plates on it with one arm. Those are bumper plates. Bumper plates have the same diameter whether they are actually 10 pounds or 45 pounds. We can't tell unless you could see it. Usually they are color coded. Considering his size and the weird set of movements he's doing (and balancing it all on one arm), I'd have to guess its somewhere under 100 pounds but over 70.
  11. Having Osuna in the bullpen will have more of a contribution to the 2016 team than to have him pitch for the majority of the season in the minors then get called up for a starting role. Our bullpen is weak as f*** and we need him there.
  12. So I guess the Yankees should hope that he gets suspended? He'll miss part of 2015 but he also gets his FA delayed by 1 year, so they'll get another year from him?
  13. I must be an idiot for not knowing who he is
  14. im offended
  15. he would have filed his papers if he was for sure.
  16. puig fight vid TMZ warning http://www.tmz.com/2015/12/19/yasiel-puig-bar-fight-video/?adid=article.readmore.click#continued
  17. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/news-lifts-curtain-backstage-drama-mlb-winter-meetings-article-1.2469431 real good read about the background of winter meetings. Also sheds light on the background fracas' between Dickey and the Mets.
  18. Not to mention easy access to washrooms and everything on the concourse level.
  19. cause and before his current wife http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kF6emygB-lo/T7D5mY28R-I/AAAAAAAAAH0/v1oBInWvovw/s1600/Alyssa+Milano-3.jpg
  20. John Lott ‏@LottOnBaseball 1m1 minute ago #BlueJays CEO Mark Shapiro says real-grass playing surface for RC not a top priority. One of many stadium upgrades being considered. 1/3 motherf***er
  21. Ah got it How could you forget the Dark Knight though?! And they also had DeGrom for like 50 more IP. Not sure about Matz but I think he throws up there too?
  22. wat - what are you arguing for? The Mets were threw the most pitches over 95 by far in 2015, so I'm sure the numbers will support it
  23. I'm pretty sure the whole Mets rotation is at fault for it
