"how challenging it is to uproot yourself, your family, sell your house and leave a team and city you've been in/with for 7-8 years" Those are valid distractions outside of the ballpark. I can't possibly believe that Tulo is thinking of that during an at bat.
Also baseball is one of the less team-dependent sports out there. As a hitter, all Tulo needs to do is see the ball, hit the ball. As a fielder, see the ball, catch the ball. It's different between pitchers/catchers, but even that difference is only in terms of sequencing.
I will give you that he has to adjust to the league, but the guy is a vet and I'm sure he's had AB against the seasoned veterans in this league and division. So much show that I expect regression, but not the type we saw with Tulo LY and TY.
