    i'm sure he had a good reason, we'll see after the game. Who cares if he is the reigning AL MVP? If you are disrespectful to an umpire (whether it was intended at him or not is irrelevant) you deserve to get ejected.

    Donaldson for sure didn't chirp at the umpire based on his reaction when he went back to argue his ejection. So he said something not related to baseball. And that was directed to someone behind the umpire, whether it was a fan or the Twins bench. What if he said something dismissive, like "shut up?" you want the umpire to not eject a guy who says that?
