You apparently misread what I wrote or just made up some words in your head. Trading for a pitcher who already was going to retire was not smart. Not getting a back up starter for Buerhle who has already retired was dumb. Keeping Hutch as starter and not getting something to help out was dumb. When you look at the pitchers on this team...Price alone was not enough to fix the major holes....just my opinion. -

Not sure. The owners will have to blame someone for the questionable actions to end the year and in the playoffs. We have so much to do in terms of players that it might not matter.

I blame Gibby a lot, and I still think he has to be fired.....but the more I think about it, AA screwed up the trade deadline which we are seeing now. We are counting on a trick pitcher, a retired pitcher and a Ricky Romero type implosion pitcher, and essentially a rookie who tore his ACL this season, all in our starting rotation to end the regular season. Also, we have now only 1 lefty in the bullpen (a guy who was DFA already this season) and in the near future, he traded for another retiring pitcher to be a key bullpen piece and then 2 rookies in the bullpen. We counted on the offense to do it all. Still have time to do it but wow that pitching was not thought out at all

As of now. You can't go with Estrada in a potential win or go home. Price cruised through 6 last time gotta go with him and hope for the same. Estrada gave up 3 runs in 5 innings in gm 1

Why is he still pitching...tomorrow its Price most likely so get Estrada warmed up.
