    Only 1 guy since the first has tried going the other way....doesn't bode well for hits vs a pitcher who just keeps pitching away. I really though they were going to have a better approach today after yesterday's game

    Yep, it's not that we need to be a Kansas City. We just need to adjust our approach and change the mindset from...HR...to single or Fly ball. That would probably at least increase our success rate.

    And getting a guy on 3rd less than 2 outs on base 2 times a game and succeeding at a 5% rate. The rest of baseball has to be at least 50% success. That's a crap load of runs we have left off the board. We are in first only because of our pitching. Dont let thE 1 game every 10 days scoring 12 runs fool you. This offense is the least consistent in baseball. Edit: we should be up 10 games in first with the offense just doing the little things right.....maybe 5 more with a different manager?

    100%...this team couldn't score in that situation with Rickey Romero facing us.

    So why can't we put the ball in play with a guy on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Worst team I have ever seen at scoring in that situation. This is exactly why our offense sucks compared to other teams. It's little league baseball fundamentals.

    Your point. They had a better approach and a lefty drove in the runs. The right handed hitter would not have if they kept trying to pull the outside pitch that they did all night.

    Nope...the Braves would have score 8 runs off of him tonight. It's called hit the ball to the opposite field. We refuse to do it so they just keep pitching away. After a few of the hitters realize how stupid that approach is...Ubaldo has thrown 8 inning gs of 3 hit ball.

    Offense using a terrible approach again tonight. It's away, away, away....and we just don't even try to hit it away. Hopefully they figure something out the 3rd time through because they are getting owned by the worst pitcher in baseball right now.
