  2. Interestingly enough, the meatballs haven't been much of an issue yet. The 3 HRs were an outside slider to a LH hitter that hit Mcguire's glove, a changeup to a LH hitter outside third that hit Mcguire's glove, and a changeup 6 inches inside to a RH hitter that was just an amazing job by the hitter
  3. Did well against one of the best offensive teams in the league. Velocity has been great, not so great, and good. Only difference that has underwhelmed imo has been his slider command. He has been very short in his follow through letting it back up over the plate or wild for 2.8 games. He threw some good ones yesterday that we hadn't seen. Work in progress to regain it. Seems it was much better at AAA. Change up has always been a wildcard that he is working on, but it has improved Solid first 3 games vs 2 tough teams. Needs to finish his pitches and not worry about the mound. Last 2 games the velocity probably has been up and down for the same issue as the slider. Clean up the mechanics the last 2 games and gain control of the slider and we should see more great games
  4. Looked like he was looking at the back of his middle finger
  5. I'm guessing complete game win for Lynn at this rate
  6. Another ******** strike call on Vlad favoring Lynn
  7. Adrenaline boost let Manoah finish his pitches better
  8. Get someone up. Reese is calling so many sliders that just aren't good yet
  9. Was that him. I thought it was Anderson for some reason lol
  10. From the game day it looks like First inning went quick with 3 balls in play for outs. 10 pitches 3 balls 2nd innings was the trouble. - 4 pitch walk only 1 close pitch - K on 5 pitches, only 1 ball not close to the zone (wild pitch) - double on 5 pitches. 3 look pretty much over the middle of the plate - HR on 2 pitches. Both over the middle essentially - K on 3 pitches down in the zone - Walk on 4 pitches 3 on the corner - HBP on 8 pitches. 5 of the first 6 were down in the zone then went high - K on 4 pitches up in the zone and on the corner 3rd inning looks to be top form. - K on 5 pitches all on the outside or inside part of the plate - ground out on 2 pitches top of the zone - K on 4 pitches all on the corner or top of the zone So 11 pitches 2 Ks and 0 balls 4th inning looks really great as well. Struck out all 3 on 16 pitches. 5 balls and only 2 weren't close to strikes 5th inning has a 7 pitch single on a pop up and a 2 pitch HBP. He left and the RP allowed the runs on a flyball, wild pitch, and homerun. So 82 pitches and 55 strikes. With a lot of the balls close to the zone or on the corner. Not a lot of crazy wild balls. Most pitches he has pitched i think since going back down. Can't tell the pitch types though
  11. Wasn't shelled at all. Was a much better performance
  12. Class A Short Season was removed
  13. The GCL and AZL start at the end of June
  14. Beltre, Machado, and de Castro are at extended spring training. At least Beltre is for sure. May or may not see at rookie ball this year Estiven Machado (I think this is him) has filled out a lot it appears Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM
  15. So it comes down to how we define solid. Which of course we disagree lol
  16. Yep. Velocity down and slider command wasn't good. Needs to clean up the slider for sure
