  1. Clement is a utility backup, Biggio's numbers last I looked are awful the deeper you dive. He is being propped up by huge luck, IKF is an overpaid backup. They are all stop gaps early in the season
  2. C: Jansen/Kirk 3B: Vlad SS: Bo 2B: Orelvis 1B: Horwitz LF: Schneider CF: Varsho RF: Barger DH: Springer/Turner YOLO
  3. Gotta hope Tiedemann was just inflammation and they are working on what may have caused it and how to get better quickly, etc
  4. Definitely. Maybe it comes from the unknown IP limit the Jays have. 55 IP in 2022, 0 in 2023, already 14 in 2024. Hasn't thrown 100 IP since 2018. We might be looking at 60-70 IP and they want it later in the season like you said
  5. Been known since the signing, shouldn't shock anyone
  6. Jimenez isn't a great defender and in close to 40 AAA games is hitting. 200 with 1 HR and 4 2Bs. Has only 16 HRs in 6 minor league seasons. I wouldn't count on him contributing as a starter next season yet
  7. He sits 93-95 and has touched 97 this season. Even in this start he was throwing mostly 94s. Last 2 batters he dropped to 88-91 on 4 fastballs. Hence the injury. Also the slider and curveball are the top offspeed pitches. Just working on the changeup
  8. On the hitting front, Orelvis and Barger would make big upgrades to Biggio and IKF in the lineup
  9. Landen Maroudis was cruising again and then left with the trainer. Jays won't have a SP prospect left at this rate
  10. Wild pitch saved Springer as we failed shocking again with a runner on 3B lmao
  11. A good entertaining ump show lmao
  12. Varsho staying hot, great to see
  13. Mitch White traded to the Giants. Crazy
  14. Apparently I'm alone in the Jays hitting coaches got to go
  15. How they calculate defensive value and pitching value
  16. If we finished the game Wednesday we would be 0.5 games back of 1st, crazy
  17. Its just part of the story for sure
  18. I disagree, the drop off in runs has been directly correlated with their approach driven change to less Ks, more contact, more pitches seen and they are starting it young. Doesn't mean you won't have power and runs in the future, but they traded the power off the MLB team and focused on contact and the runs dropped with the dissapearing power
