I love how they talk about DeRozan and how he works so hard between games watching video, trying to find ways to get better because he wants to be a better player. For him it's so simple, just stop taking 10-15 19 foot jumpers every game and take it to the rack more often. Don't lose that mid range jumper, but drive it with authority more often to keep the d honest
I've started watching a lot more basketball this year, and ive never seen these calls in other games go against the dribbler, Raps have had like 3 or 4 egregiously horribad calls against them this year on stuff like that. Lowry getting run over from behind comes to mind
What the f*** refs... Another absolutely awful foul call, when a guy is dribbling and changes direction and gets hit from behind, the foul can't be called on the guy with the ball
Hate seeing Chuck Hayes on the floor... I know Patterson is hurt but it makes it way to easy for the opponents on defense when you know Hayes isn't even a factor on offense
Raps have gone to their usual 19 foot jumper game ... So shocking to see them miss a few in a row when you don't take shots from anywhere near the paint
Pekovic out now, let's see if Casey calls some plays inside to JV with no real bigs in.
Of course not, just takes him out of the game....
Love is abusing Amir on defense but Johnson starting to wake up now
Johnson playing g like crap right now. Missed two easy lay ups, launching an awful 3 ball and nowhere to be found on the glass. Luckily the prest of the team is picking it up.
JV keeps tapping rebounds out to the wolves, just bring it down kid!
Gameday is never accurate in ST. Every strikeout is listed as a 3 pitch K, every ball in play is listed as 1 pitch AB and all walks are listed as 4 straight walks, regardless of how many pitches actually occurred in the PA
"The Astros are not the first team to build their own database, although they believe theirs rivals anyone's. The Cleveland Indians gained notoriety as the first to build a confidential system, called "DiamondView." The Boston Red Sox further popularized the trend with theirs, nicknamed "Carmine."
The Jays system name? Despair
from the CF camera, the pitch sequencing was obviouys, whenever the catcher set up on the inner half, it was a fastball, whenever he set up outer half, it was a breaking ball. I guess nobody picked up on it
Honestly, if AA lets Santana get away over a few million in incentives, he should just quit and hand over the reigns to someone who knows what a free agent market is.
There is no such thing as a bad 1 year deal.
Especially in games like last night when they're up by 10+ points for practically the entire second half. That's the perfect time to get him in there and get more experience
9:08am: The Blue Jays are willing to offer a deal in the $14MM range with no incentives, Heyman writes. The Orioles may be a bit behind the Blue Jays. The Rockies, meanwhile, may be out of the bidding, as Heyman tweets.
You'd want to give up the draft pick for 1 year of this guy when there's probably 0 chance of him turning it down again at the end of the year? I'm not sure I would, even with. A 2 win season out of him.
