  1. Now we just need Wakefield to be the minor league roving pitching instructor and we'll know for sure AA is trolling the s*** out of us.
  2. Having a knuckleball swingman wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. He'd be capable of pitching more innings and more often than your typical guy. Didn't the Red Sox do that with Wakefield a few years ago?
  3. Rectum? Damn near killed him!
  4. Yeah I would think so, he was Frank Viola Jr. so it stands to reason the next in line would be Frank Viola III
  5. despite that, what you said about Happ was correct.
  6. Probably anytime Hurl talks to women half his age, followed by a drink thrown in his face.
  7. The Dickey effect might be lessened if the entire rotation is full of knuckleballers.... Maybe AA thinks standing pat and not improving your team while signing minor league knuckleballers is the new market inefficiency?
  8. I can't even imagine what kind of context would make that GIF make sense to me
  9. Exactly. Happ's lack of innings likely won't be the result of injury, it'll be the result of him being an awful pitcher who throws 100 pitches through 4-5 innings far more often than not since he can't throw strikes.
  10. I think most will agree that clubhouse chemistry is important, but you need talent first. You don't build for chemistry.
  11. I see what you're saying, but realistically, what can Walker due with a 90 year old trick pitcher, Mark Buehrle who is what he is, scrubs like Rogers, Ortiz, Laffey, Wang ... and then a ton of injuries to Hutch, Drabek, Johnson, Morrow? When those guys are healthy and pitching, we'll see what Walker is actually capable of doing with their development.
  12. And yet by the end of the offseason AA was searching under every rock for a RHB who could play CF as a backup. Weird
  13. Yep, his fingers keep typing, and useless drivel pours forth.
  14. Well if y'all want to agree on 500, that's fine too. It's a nice round cutoff
  15. I have fat fingers and an iPad, i misclick to people's profiles all the time. .....yeah that's it....
  16. Another thread I get the feeling will be used as evidence someday
  17. And he actually hit 70 or 75 wRC+, where would his UZR need to be to get 1 WAR?
  18. Now you've done it, selfie nudes on the way from Gordie and King...and probably Hurl
  19. I'd say 550. If Goins is going to be the man, he should be well over 600
  20. Zaun doesn't tell it like it is, he tells it like he thinks it is, which is usually horribly incomplete and very one dimensional.
  21. Sorry, didn't read the whole thread, was the Gentry for Santos deal something confirmed that could have actually been on the table or just speculation?
  22. I feel the need to point out that it's Johan Santana, some might think you are referring to Ervin, the still available FA SP
  23. Twins don't even need to bring bats today, they could walk in enough runs
  24. The contrast in the hit tool is quite evident. Pillar can make contact with anything, and as a result swings at stuff he shouldn't be, fouling off balls that are outside the strike zone. Gose is the opposite, knows he can't contact as well so tries to be patient, but is inconsistent with it and ends up making weak contact in play on pitches that he just took for a ball twice
