  1. Back to back doubles off the wall for Reyes and Cabrera, already 1-0
  2. Ah okay. Just google it, there's usually 4-5 decent streams when the game is on Tv
  3. I don't think it's quite that bad yet, but you can see how his ability to make contact would really play against minor league pitching, but really needs to work on taking balls out if the strike zone rather than swinging and fouling them off. Pitchers don't need to throw him strikes
  4. Ump doesn't like the low ones I guess, that first pitch to the second batter looked perfect
  5. 6 innings for Redmond, so probably 90 pitch count then.
  6. The fact that he's throwing the minor league game pretty well seals the deal that he's in the rotation, not that there was much doubt before. They really want to see Redmond against a major league lineup to really get a final read on him
  7. I'm sure going to a live game would be infinitely more enjoyable than TV watching, but I just find the game unexciting on the whole.
  8. I've tried watching a couple soccer games and no matter how much I try, I just can't get into it, there's 90 minutes total of game time of running around and of that, only about 2-3 minutes total worth of action, usually taking place in 10-20 second bursts, separated by another 15-20 minutes of boredom.
  9. Defensively versatile but his bat is very suspect. After watching him last fall in his September callup he looks like a guy that can't handle big league stuff at this point.
  10. No, they just drafted him as a favor to Ricky. He never played a game in the minors at all.
  11. There's an Australian winter league that's getting more popular every year. Some Jays minor leaguers went down this offseason.
  12. Yup , make your free throws and it's not an issue.
  13. You were close .... 31 footer
  14. Why Salmons is in this game is beyond me
  15. I'm just watching on the espn game cast, did I just read " Kyle Lowry blocks Kevin Durant?"
  16. I have no problem with tanking, especially when the NBA game itself all it takes is 1 truly dominant player to instantly turn a franchise around. Yes you still need to supplement the rest of the team with decent players, but 1 player makes an incredible difference right from the get go.
  17. yup 4 am here. Will be about the same time Spanky starts drinking his breakfast!
  18. I'm not quite that far on him, I give him props for inducing a lot of weak contact in those hitters counts. His great sinking 2 seamer has really bailed him out. His poise is also much better than Drabek who would seem to let every ball or hard hit rattle him, Sanchez just shakes it off and goes after it on the next one. So, his mental approach is also a plus.
  19. Agreed. There's lots of hype around him right but when you look deeper than ERA, he looks like a guy getting really lucky. Still walking lots of guys, going into deep counts more often than not.. but getting lots of weak contact as well. Tiring afte 70 pitches today itself says he's not ready for the majors. He needs at least another full year in the minors to just build up his stamina let alone continue to work on pitches and command.
  20. Don't forget though he had tons of experience throwing peanuts as a peanut vendor.
  21. Marisnick having a great spring for the Marlins. 3-3 today hitting .429
  22. Wilner said he was 67 pitches after 5, finished with 72
