His swing is okay, he's just not really adjusting to what the pitchers are doing to him. He and Jose are so 1 dimensional, a good pitcher can really exploit them. He missed the mistake in that AB, but he was right on it
One bad call in his second AB doesn't explain why he did the same thing in his first one.
The Rays would love it if Jose hit long fouls all night long because there's no way to keep those fair. He has to let them go.
I'm not impressed with Jose and Edwin's approaches tonight. Jose is swinging at everything off the plate inside because he thinks it's the only thing he will see that isn't down and away... And Edwin almost seems like he guessing.
I think the better argument against Rasmus in the 2 hole is what we just saw. A strike-out prone hitter isn't a great bet to keep an inning alive for your #3 guy with 2 outs and runners on base
I still think it's okay against RHP, but he has to be more selective
