Happ pitched a half decent game, but the sox were also swinging at everything. Not really sure how much credit to give Happ as I think a more patient team probably would have made him throw those 120 pitches in 2 fewer innings, but he got the job done. It certainly wasn't as dominating a start as the plain numbers suggest. -
He's got to be protected in the rule 5 draft at the end of the season, so while it would be ultra aggressive even if he does hit well... It wouldn't be out of the question.

Got hit by Texeira on the grounder that Reyes threw away... Hot dinged but stayed in the game. Seemed a bit woozy in the last few innings. No word if he'll miss any time.

I agree here... Loup should have been in first, But after he made that mistake he compounded it by not giving McGowan a quicker hook... But... In McGowans defense , two errors didn't help. Fundamental baseball and he'd have been out of the inning still with 2 or 3 run lead.

I know realistically they'd never be able to compete on a level playing field with men in the majors in really any aspect of the game except.. Maybe as a knuckleballer.
