    I'm no doctor but I'm guessing the reason is that his ligament broke.

    I was looking at his batting stance in yesterday's game, he was standing practically at the edge of ten RH batters box as far from the plate as possible and is striding towards the plate. He wasn't doing that earlier in the year. He got some hits but he also became extremely vulnerable to inside pitches.

    Make no mistake Melky is very below average defensive left fielder. It's just that people remember the highlight reel plays and not the big picture of poor routes and lots of plays that should be outs that don't get converted because of it.

    And, you also don't need to find bat-only lefty hitter to platoon with him. There's guys out there who can play defense and hit lefties well. Having Lind as half of your DH spot at 7.5 is not a roster altering decision. Keeping guys like Francisco as well as Lind becomes a problem.

    Yes, Navarro has provided good value for the dough, but that's also not factoring in framing, which I suspect would knock at least a win off that total, depending on how much the framing numbers can be trusted.

    Not sure what heart has to do with it at this point. They need a massive winning streak and be lucky enough that the other teams lose. Heart has little to do with other teams losing

    They could win 10 straight and only make up 2 games. It's jot so important to have long winning streaks during the season, but keeping losing streaks to a minimum is the real key .

    Will be very happy not to see McGowan next year. Really hope they let him go, there's just no need for a mediocre reliever at his salary

    I dont think it was gone, by the angle of the ball and where the fans glove was, it looks like it would hAve come down inside the yellow line, but not catchable
