He should have every right to protest. The rule book has the exact example from last nights game specifically regarding replay on plays at the plate, and they got it 100% wrong. -

I see a bit of deception on his fastball to rhb, with his arm dragging a bit the rhb can't pick it up as soon as they would on other lefties. Might be helping it play up a bit
