  1. Wow, that's some ugly s***.
  2. Weird, the Jays don't need either of them....
  3. I'm just going by watching I've heard from the talking heads. My sources are all drunk and banging hookers knee deep in a mountain of coke. Yes, my source is Greg Zaun.
  4. Should have ended the thread right there.
  5. Bautista called Rogers cheap *******s. Then 5 hours later there's trade rumours involving Jay Bruce from the Reds in a 3 way deal including the Athletics. The 3 way is already a no go according to sources but Jas still trying to land Bruce. THE Jays are on Bruce's no-trade list but is apparantly willing to waive it.
  6. I'll keep writing. I'm not doing it for exposure or anything, I just like it.
  7. I'm not sure I can picture a guy coming off as more of a douche as he did in that interview. I have no issue with his stance or his overall points, because as far as that goes he's 100% right. But the way he stated his point is douchebag 101.
  8. I don't mind the leaf, but the wholething is the wrong f***ing colour blue.
  9. Cincinnati - Under Milwaukee - under Texas - under Oakland - over Detroit - under Angels - under Braves - over Yankees - under Dodgers - over D-backs - under Padres - under Royals - under
  10. I live in Lethbridge and you're bang on. There still towns around here that don't have a single liquor store. When the area was settled back in the 1800's it was largely by Mormons coming north from Utah. Most of the towns around here are named for Mormons. I will say tho, when they build a temple, they build really nice looking buildings.
  11. I had to do the same thing at Fenway, and their seats are solid f***ing metal with 0 give. I had to give up seats in about the 3rd row.
  12. Too early for legit congrats and eating crow on my part, but it is looking up for you. I really wanted Mudiay but I think he was gone by then anyways
  13. I watched a good chunk of the game, Golden State had no gas. The short stretches they did have it going they dominated but their legs were gone about 5 minutes into the third.
  14. Bet there was a decent amount of money on the Bucks tonight. Second night of a back to back on the road after double overtime is about as good a chance as any to break the Warriors perfect season, even if the Bucks do suck.
  15. Great signing. Hope they are all in the lineup when I'm in Chitown this summer for their home and home series with the White Sox.
  16. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14333878/san-antonio-spurs-coach-gregg-popovich-says-3-pointer-circus-sort-thing Interesting comments from Popovich.... "I still hate it," Popovich told reporters before the Spurs' 97-94 loss to the Toronto Raptors. "I'll never embrace it. I don't think it's basketball. I think it's kind of like a circus sort of thing. Why don't we have a 5-point shot? A 7-point shot? You know, where does it stop, that sort of thing."
  17. Got in a fight at a bar once because some guy was being a collossal douchecanoe, told him I f***ed his mom ... he says she's dead... I said yeah its cuz I f***ed her to death. He wasn't pleased
  18. This just in. The Warriors are pretty good
  19. This signing makes more sense than trading Lind for Estrada last year. Granted that's not saying much... but they got stupid lucky with that deal so maybe lightning strikes twice
  20. Their 10 and 5 no-trade clauses are a significant impediment to that, unless the Jays are out of the race before the trade deadline and they agree to be moved.
  21. All this thread reminds me of is being on a tropical island year, which is where I was when this trade broke. And just like I said in my post, I was drowning myself in rum on the beach. I'm not doing that right now, so this thread still sucks
  22. The way i see it, he's not Kershaw, so he shouldn't be paid like him. I'd go 7/175 with the opt out after 3 years that was suggested earlier.
  23. Look at the Cano situation right now. All anyone is talking about now is how Cano wants to get out of seattle and regrets not taking less money to stay with NY. Granted none of that is coming from Cano himself but rather "a source that is very close to Cano"... but you really do have to wonder sometimes how much union pressure there is on the players to always go for the maximum dollars vs takin less and being where u want to be. It's not like taking 20 million per year is all that differnet than 25 million in the grand scheme of things if taking the 20 million means playing in a city that you want to be in. That being said, you can't let the owners use that willingness to take less to bend u over and toss it in dry.
  24. Park factors are also important. It's no real coincidence that the stadiums with the lowest run environment are the ones with the biggest dimensions and at sea level
  25. I honestly don't think this moves the needle one way or the other very much at all. We need a front of rotation arm, but we also needed a depth arm. They just got the depth arm first which really is to be expected since the depth arms are easiest to get. Does it kinda suck that they had to give up a controllable reliever that could very easily have been a back end type piece next year and the next 3 after that? I guess, but they are relievers growing on trees every year in FA and your own farm from other failed starters that can probably fill that hole, so it's not really something to lose sleep over.
