  1. It's hard to be excited about the system as a whole, but my brain still considers Pompey a prospect even though he's passed the standards to make such lists. It's hard to even see more than 2 or 3 big leage regulars, but as he noted in the article, the Jays have so many guys in the 1st tier below that level, that it's probably realistic to think that a couple of them might figure it out. The next few years are going to be a test for Shapiro and comany, given the likelihood of low draft position, top talent leaving without being able to sign anyone relevant, and no real currency to trade for anyone else's stars.
  2. Lots of guys get drafted in the first round who don't even have half a sniff of the talent that warrants their draft position too though because of the idiotic nature of the MLB draft.
  3. Nailed it
  4. I hate it when Cecil faces Ortiz, he sits on the curve and gets important hits because there's no plan from the Jays aside from the curve. Just like when they pitch Pedroia away, away, away and then watch the opposite field single and wonder why it happened
  5. Jays hitters have been crap but let's be fair to Price here, he's been on the edges all day. There hasn't been much to go after
  6. f*** you're smart. Why thank you.
  7. Lefty with a s*** bat against one of the best lefties in the game... not a hard call
  8. Can see Vasquez is sitting on the change. Bust him up and in
  9. This umps strike zone is very good so far
  10. I saw a game three a few years ago. Was a cool experience outside the park in every way. Inside the park though .... honestly it's just time to let it go. I get nostalgia and history, but there's a point where you need to move on and build something modern for the good of your franchise, and they passed that point about 30 years ago
  11. That's just something you have to put up with from Bautista. Every year he will have 5-10 plays on the bases that just make you shake your head and wonder wtf he was thinking. Then you look at the 40+ homers and .380 wOBA and just let it go.
  12. Pretty sure that was a cutter for strike 3 and not a fastball
  13. Missed the game but looking at stats it's not hard to see what went wrong Indiana shot 52% from 3 and the raps turned it over 20 times with an overall 38% fg percentage. That's not gonna win many games. Raps did dominate the glass though 52 - 38
  14. Fir anyone looking for the numbers of current Jays against Price http://www.baseball-reference.com/play-index/batter_vs_pitcher.cgi?pitcher=priceda01#gotresults&pitcher=priceda01&min_year_game=2008&max_year_game=2016&post=1&opp_id=TOR&bats=any&opponent_status=&c1criteria=&c1gtlt=eq&c1val=0&c2criteria=&c2gtlt=eq&c2val=0&orderby=PA&orderby_dir=desc&orderby_second=Name&orderby_dir_second=asc&ajax=1&submitter=1

  18. JV ate his Wheaties this morning. Beasting
  19. It's a great way of thinking, but he should still keep the 4 seamer handy just to give them another look
  20. Baltimore just put up a 9 spot to take a 10-5 lead.
  21. Just go take your frustration out on Joanne McLeod's old vag.
  22. Wow, another bad call on Pedroia.
  23. Hedging your 10% number with "the grand scheme of baseball things" reeks of backpedaling. My spreadsheets and calculator came up with 17 decimal places by the way, but my mom said I shouldn't try to show up the stupids on the internetz. Gotta go, I'm being called to dinner. I LOVE TACO NIGHT!
  24. Not me. But what a great choice to have. Kobe is about as big a douche as there is in sports but there's no denying he's one of the all time greats.
  25. I think your definition of "good chance" is slightly diffrent than most. Seeing him this year has maybe bumped his ultimate ceiling to #2 with more likely outcome being a decent 3. He sill has lightyears to go on improved command before that's even realistic let alone the ace tag.
