  1. Gets the ground ball, still doesn’t catch a break
  2. Wow, he can throw whatever he wants and it’s getting hit. He’s gotta be tipping
  3. Yeah, all three of them looked like they had no clue on timing at all. Singer is one of those really good extension pitchers, and his delivery is pretty definitely deceptive.
  4. Rendon suspended 5 games and given undisclosed fine for being a moron.
  5. All sweepers are sliders, but not all sliders are sweepers.
  6. Really not impressed with his off-season from that perspective. He’s young enough he could get that pretty much all gone in 3-4 months with a bit of effort
  7. Yeah I know but the objective is just to make sure that he doesn’t have to face Goldy as his third hitter if the lefties manage exactly what they managed. Could go to someone else in a righty righty matchup.
  8. K, so did some digging on Twitter to see if Peyton Williams, that giant 1b tank that smashed a ball off the wall in one of those last ST games had a nickname. He is apparently known as "Manny", as in Manny the Mammoth from Ice age. Confirmed by Peyton himself.
  9. That ones a more defensible move than Garcia being allowed to pitch to Arenado with a base empty and the backup catcher coming up. I think if they were wanting to go to Mayza though, they should have brought him in to face Edman. That way at WORST hes facing 3 lefties in a row and needing 2 outs, then you could yank him before facing Goldy even if he didnt get the 2 needed outs. To be fair to Mayza though the hits he gave up were not bad pitches.
  10. That's incredibly non-sociopathic of you. There may be hope for you yet.
  11. Yes, violence as always the right answer to words and hurt feefees
  12. No doubt. Hard to fight that video evidence that clearly shows him with a fistfull of fan shirt and taking a quick swipe at him. Probably just trying to knock his hat off or something, but still... ya can't do that. Why he even put himself in that situation is hard to fathom.
  13. From an MLB spokesman to @TheAthletic on the Anthony Rendon situation: “We are aware of the video and we are now looking into the matter.”
  14. We're THIS close to being a full fledged "Running Man" society for criminal punishment. Can't wait!
  15. This is a man we're talking about... stupid and embarrassing comes with the territory.
  16. Yeah i thought about that also, but usually the 3rd guy was George Bell, and he was like Manny Ramirez level bad in the OF. Even in the prime WS seasons, White was out there being awesome while Joe Carter butchered RF and Candy Maldonado sucked in Left, then Henderson in LF the nest year and he was terrible at D by that point.
  17. Wilner just called the Jays outfield the best defensive outfield in Jays history. Hyperbole? Or is it really that much better than the best OFs of the past.
  18. It could also suggest a really big knee injury that was a major problem.
  19. I wonder how it will really play out, like would Ohtani just give a list of teams to his agent that he would actually be open to play for and then just go from there and only really change if he got blown away with 50 million more dollars or something? Like, I doubt the angels are really on his radar given how they've bumblef***ed everything over the past few years. That could change I guess if they make the playoffs this year. There's all the low spending teams that are just eliminated completely from contention since spending 50 million on an entire team is "impossible" for their owners let alone one guy.
  20. I dont know if I see seattle as a team willing to pony up that kind of cash. Maybe i'm wrong and I hope I am because if Ohtani makes it to free agency, it will easily be the biggest free agency circus in sports history. That whole Lebron thing back 10 years ago or whatever would pale in comparison THe more teams on on him, the better. The Jays could make a pitch too with lots of money coming off the books this year. No idea if Ohtani would even entertain the idea, but you never know.
  21. I don't like a tie in baseball either, but I would be able to live with it if there was a compelling argument for it. I can't really think of one though since the current ghost runner accomplishes pretty much the only thing they'd really want to be worried about, which is those super long regular season games that end up screwing over teams for two weeks after. Allowing a tie would be like change for the sake of change with no real benefit.
