  1. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG SPRINGER !!! *cf*
  2. I can't even imagine it. Just like i can't imagine wtf Santana was thinking going for third
  3. THat's not his game. Not everyone can be the perfect spray hitter
  4. Bassitt vs Hill is like watching two kitchen sinks being thrown around
  5. No doubt, it look slike such a gorgeous park. Whatever AT+T park in San Fran is called now is the nicest Ive been to so far, and i cant imagine there's much nicer, but PNC looks like it's got a shot.
  6. Poor Springer, another absolute rocket ... straight at Reynolds
  7. He even had it too.... popped out on contact with the ground. I can't recall a series of games with more garbage luck going against the jays than these last 5
  8. Holy f*** ump, you called time in the middle of Bassitss f***ing delivery
  9. Some of these guys just look like they have no idea what theyre facing. Just a very generic thought process is needed for Hill. He's never going to blow a fastball past you.. so dont worry about it. Sit on the soft stuff. adjust to the fastball
  10. To me it looks like every Jays is trying to make the ball explode if they hit it... swinging out of their shoes on every swing. Just relax boys
  11. Being fair to Bae, he beat the throw and only Chappy's leg block of the base prevented the steal.
  12. Well Berrios and kikuchi are definitely not innings eaters in the sense that youd just throw them out the to not embarass themselves and hope they get through 5-6 innings. When aquired, Berrios was a #2 most days and #1 on others. Kikuchi was never an innings eater, more of a guy they thought would be a solid #2/3. Bassitt and Roark yeah, defiinitely fit the bill.
  13. WTF is this pitching staff right now... nobody can throw a f***ing strike anymore
  14. Jesus Rivera... Bo was a dead duck if the catcher hadnt missed it.
  15. His underlying metrics are pretty much fine, dude is just snakebit. Everything he hits hard goes right at someone. His walk rate is down but that's likely because he's really pressing to try and make something happen at this point of getting f***ed on every batted ball.
  16. totally allowed to change your picks right up until the first Jay's at bat.
  17. Ah yes, forgot about the IL thing
  18. May 5 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point - Stangstag, wilko Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - mphenhef Springer - 2 Points - Dylan Kirk - 3 Points Jansen - 3 Points - JohnHavok Merrifield - 5 Points Espinal - 6 Points - Jonn Off the bench: 10 Points updated standings after yesterday?
  19. This pen is only ever going to be as good as the rotation. When the rotation blows, the pen gets overworked and sucks. When the rotation goes 6+ solid inning, the pen is fine. That said, I stand by my posts in the pen thread that if the Jays want a championship calibre pen, there has to be at least 1 lefty and 1 more Garcia or better arm added. Maybe Green is the Garcia or better when he comes back but I gotta think they need someone before that. It's no guarantee he even makes it back in time to be eligible for the post season
  20. They're past that point already, they had that 2 years ago with Vlad and Bo.. which allowed them to sign multiple guys theyve already signed and Kirk and Manoah are still pre-arb this season though both will hit Arb 1 next season. This is exactly the stage the jays should be in right now, they're just getting absolutely nothing so far from Springer, Espinal, Jansen, Biggio and Belt. There's no way anyone can tell me that prior to this season they would pick those 5 guys to be as bad as they have been. Sure, nobody was epxecting all star levels performance, but none of them have a wRC+ above 70. I know there's Biggio haters everywhere that think before this year he was terrible and worth cutting, which just want true, but he's not doing himself any favours right now that's for sure. Springer will bounce back. Jansen will bounce back. I have no belief in Biggio Belt or Espinal's bats at this point though to even approach their career norms.
  21. Yeah. I think it's about time Schneider and co just go with the best 9 day in and day out and stop the carousel. THe best lineup right how is 7 deep, and I have faith that Springer will turn it around. This is sorted by wRC+
  22. I hope he brings it, he probably knows this is his last shot.
  23. Yeah I get there's some hyperbole of course coming from the guys covering the Canadians. I just think a headline that says he has nearly big league ready stuff is just stupid. It's very clear that he doesnt have big league ready stuff.
