  1. Laughably bad 8th worst umpire in mlb this season for accuracy…sandwiched between known terrible umps Dan Iassogna and Vic Carrapazza. Not names you want around yours when it comes to umpiring and strike zone calling
  2. This is a really tough pick day… On one hand, Senga tends to leave a ton of his fastballs, sweepers and cutters in the happy happy hitter zone….but on the other hand, they still don’t get hit hard because hitters are so wary of that forkball they’re timing is off. He walks 5 per 9… and has no real discernible l/r splits that would jump out as far as HRs given up go. f*** it, gimme Heineman
  3. Thing was, it wasn’t even the injury that was the problem, bu the surgery to fit that caused nerve damage.
  4. k, someone said May 21 was the start of the heater so.. . Here's Orelvis stats starting then with the fly ball running totals in brackets. Im checking the game days for the descriptions of the hits also whether they were line drives, grounders or flyballs. May 21 - HR, flyout, groundout, lineout, walk, groundout. (2 flyballs out of 5 batted balls) May 23 - strikeout, lineout, walk, single(ld) (2 flyballs total out of 7 batted balls) May 25 - walk, walk, single(ld), strikeout (2 flyballs total out of 8 batted balls) May 26 - strikeout, single(ld), groundout, walk, walk (2 flyballs out of 10 batted balls) May 27 - walk, strikeout, groundout, groundout, double (ld), walk, walk, groundout (2 flyballs out of 14 batted balls) May 28 - HR, walk, flyout, flyout, strikeout (5 flyballs out of 17 batted balls) May 30 - strikeout, lineout, flyout, groundout, single(flyball) (7 flyballs out of 21 batted balls) May 31 - flyout, popout, HR, walk (10 flyballs out of 24 batted balls, 1 pop fly included) June 1 - single(groundball), lineout, walk, HR, double(flyball) (12 flyballs out of 28 batted balls, 1 popfly included) June 2 - double(groundball), strikeout, flyout, walk (13 flyballs out of 30 batted balls, 1 popfly included) June 3 - strikeout, groundout, groundout, popout (14 flyballs out of 33 batted balls, 2 popouts included) There ya go. FB rate is 42.4%, Popout rate is 14.3%. 54 PAs, 13 walks, 8 strikeouts, 8 line drives, 4 HRs, 3 doubles, 5 singles. 8 hits on 29 balls in play
  5. 2-1 game not surprising today given the size of the umps strike zone. Absolute garbage today from blue
  6. Only thing you can do is go through the game logs on baseball savant day by day from start date to end date and track it manually…as far as I know.
  7. Seems to be an effort to layoff borderline pitches until 2 strikes up and down the lineup today, sans Vlad. Maybe something is starting to sink in
  8. Ump show. At least 2 inches outside, maybe more
  9. Great breaking balls today from Berrios so far. Good sign
  10. Locations for sure, maybe not the actual pitch
  11. No runs,….but with the exception of Vlad, every hitter had a good PA and made pretty good swing choices. CHappy got beat by a good slider and Merrifield hit it well, just right at the D.
  12. You’re not wrong.
  13. If that wasn’t a hit and run, which it obviously wasn’t, why was Vladdy looking to the plate? That slows a runner down
  14. Death, taxes and Vlad swinging first pitch at non strikes with runners on base for weak contact ground balls.
  15. June 3 Bichette - 2 Points Vladdy - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Chapman - 4 Points Varsho - 4 Points - jaysblue Springer - 4 Points Belt - 6 Points - Abomination, Jonn, John_Havok Kirk - 8 Points - Dylan Merrifield - 10 Points - wilko, WryNGinger, Jays4life69 Kiermaier - 12 Points - stangstag, Candy Maldonado Off the bench: 20 Points - spanky, Omar
  16. Here comes Yimi for the 8th probably then. Start praying
  17. No doubt, soon as that second throw over I thought…he’s stealing next pitch and it won’t be close.
  18. Oh sweet baby Jesus Yimi is warming up.
  19. This game has 3 gems on D. KK, CHappy and Springer
  20. Umps gonna ump. Ah well, let’s light up the pen now please
  21. Ump trying his best to give the Mets some baserunners, wow
  22. And now suddenly the strike zone shrinks…
  23. f*** sakes. credit to Verlander I guess…that slider was sick
  24. f***ing ump man….screwed Belt on ball 1… when you give a guy like Verlander two extra inches all around…no wonder
  25. Dang, got what he wanted, but missed it
