  1. I still really dont get why Chappy is standing so far from the plate, he is givein away the outer half and basically making it impossible for see down and away with any meaningful accuracy. I dont think it's a coincidence that his major hitting problems are with identifying low and away pitches for balls and strikes when he stands that way.
  2. Right on the inner border of the zone though, realistically he should be taking that pitch and waiting for a better one.
  3. Horwitz looks like a guy who should be hitting 30+ HRs a year, pretty decent physical profile
  4. Why not, they're clearly a great organization.
  5. Excellent work by Berrios to pick up Chappy's error. Good s***
  6. OMG what has happened to Chappy.... possible DP ball booted into an error, with him literally kicking it around the IF.
  7. Heh, Arraez pimping a single is bloody hilarious lol
  8. I cant recall a draft where I've been less excited to see what happens. Usually its a pretty pumped up time of year but ... this year just seems so dull for some reason.
  9. June 19 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points Vladdy - 3 Points - Jays4life19, JaysAllMighty Chapman - 3 Points - omar Jansen - 3 Points - John_Havok Biggio - 5 Points - wilko, WryNGinger Kiermaier - 7 Points - jaysblue, Dylan Horwitz - 8 Points - Jonn, LetTheBallFly Off the bench: 10 Points
  10. Looking at the numbers I’d assume he’s a pull guy, and memory doesn’t seem to recall any oppo HR highlights but maybe there’s a few out there
  11. June 18 Bichette - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points - jaysblue Springer - 2 Points - jonn Vladdy - 3 Poits - lettheballfly Kirk - 4 Points Merrifield - 6 Points Kiermaier - 7 Points Espinal - 7 Points - Dylan Horwitz - 8 Points - JaysAllMighty Off the bench: 10 Points - Abomination, spanky, John_Havok
  12. I don’t know what’s wrong with Rivera’s head, he’s had some dumb sends in the past but that one is probably the dumbest yet.
  13. Gonna be stressful innings all day from the Jays pitchers, just gotta hope they put up some crooked numbers with the bats
  14. Francis not fooling anyone, Grossman just homered in 11/30 parks. They aren’t even offering at the sweeper, they can pick it up right out of his hand. Got out of it with no damage though
  15. June 17 Bichette - 2 Points Varsho - 4 Points- jaysblue Springer - 4 Points Vladdy - 6 Points - WryNGinger Chapman - 6 Points Jansen - 6 Points - Omar Biggio - 10 Points - Candy Maldonado, John_Havok Merrifield - 12 Points- Dylan Kiermaier - 14 Points - JaysAllMighty, Jonn, Stangstag Off the bench: 20 Points -mphenhef, spanky
  16. f*** me…changing my pick to Biggio
  17. No xBA doesn’t take defensive position into account directly on a play by play basis, but differing outfield alignments would factor in the amount of times certain types of balls fall for hits, but it’s impact in cases like this would be extremely weak. Like, how many times in baseball history have that exact defensive alignment played with that EV and LA vs the amount of times a normal alignment…would be like 1000 times to 1 or 2 (or worse) weighing in the favour of the normal alignment making the out vs falling for a hit. Like…maybe that ball goes off the monster in Boston for a hit sometimes, maybe a time or 2 per season a ball like that would get lost in the sun or shadow somewhere also. That’s why so many lefties underperformed their xBAs against the shift.
  18. Lol, didn’t realize auto correct took the word “cocked” and changed it to cocaine. Kind of a weird correction
  19. I’m playing for a local charity, but a nice set of BBQ accessories would be a decent consolation prize My gut says Biggio, realistically only Kirk has a chance to park one from the bench. Decisions decisions…
  20. Yeah, best case Richards shoves and goes 4, Pearson shoves and gets through 3. I’m not truly holding my breath on that, it’s more likely we get Richards for 2-3, Pearson for 2, then Francis for 2-3. Worst case, Richards gets bombed and they put up the White flag early to soak as much damage as possible before going to Francis
  21. bench for Saturday
  22. Get that W! Nice play Bo
  23. Good god, the balls to throw 2 more sliders after the first one was hit 390 feet just foul….stone cold.
  24. They’re sitting slider, light em up with 98 please
  25. If it came out tomorrow that Romano was a serial killer, I would not be shocked.
