  1. It's probably one of the best games that Indians fans have ever experienced. Extra innings provide a huge number of baseball's best moments and that has been stolen from us. It's a real shame.
  2. It could be worse. We just got a foot of snow overnight in Sault Ste. Marie
  3. I noticed he changed his delivery again this year. Probably a bad idea considering the results in 2020, but who knows.
  4. Kyle Lewis with a 2 run bomb to pull ahead of the Dodgers in the 8th. Damn.
  5. Now Rosario hits another RBI single after the pitcher falls behind on automatic balls. You can't say the new rules aren't interesting.
  6. And Kwan extends the lead to 7-4 with a 2 RBI single. That's 3 errors for Seattle (should be 4) in only 5 innings.
  7. What a sloppy game. You don't see that from the Indians very often, but luckily for them, their opponent has been just as bad. Kwan has a chance to redeem himself after a brutal error from Kolten Wong loads the bases.
  8. April 20th he can return.
  9. Put this man on the big league roster. One of the relievers must need a stint on the DL for anxiety.
  10. Seattle took the opposite strategy of the Blue Jays by adding negative defenders in Teo, Wong and Pollock in order to bolster a weak lineup. It will be interesting to see which strategy is more successful.
  11. Heightist as well
  12. Do you really want to roll with Swanson for multiple innings on opening day? There were 2 outs, I thought it was the right move. It's not like Mayza was wild or they crushed him. Three balls in a row just kind of found a hole. It happened a lot yesterday.
  13. He doesn't have time to determine if the guy is a danger or not. That isn't his role. Fans are well aware that they can't enter the field of play.
  14. The security guy is trained to do exactly that and he was completely justified in doing so.
  15. Our best defensive outfield was in 2006 per fangraphs. Vernon Wells, Alex Rios, and Freed Catalajohnson, with a sprinkling of Eric Hinske.
  16. Looks like we won't have to face Willson Contreras for the next 2 games.
  17. I'd prefer a tie to a gimmick. At least we would get 12 innings of real baseball.
  18. On the plus side, nobody would have won.
  19. Don't worry, the game wasn't exciting at all.
  20. One of those was a home field call on an obvious error by Devers, but still impressive.
  21. It's going to take me some time to get used to watching Kiermaier on the Jays. It still seems weird watching the highlights.
  22. Every batter on the team made important and positive contributions. It couldn't have been a much better day from that perspective. The relievers have a day off and hopefully they can regroup. Pop, Swanson, Cimber, and Romano looked good, while Mayza kind of got screwed. Bass and Jimmy were concerning.
  23. Brutal call there. Good for us.
  24. Unreal for age 73. It's like he was still in his prime playing for 4 hours.
  25. Well let's see what Romano can do.
