  1. Bellinger is getting $200m+ bro. Not sure what’s wild about it. I’m not saying I’d want to pay him that, but he’s getting it
  2. I care about fantasy values. Turner types aren’t on my radar on these epic rebuilds
  3. Haven’t seen him play since LAD few years ago. Didn’t know how he moved around
  4. One thing that wouldn’t be playoff move would be resigning KK, like all 3 people on Mlbtr predicted. We saw what a help that was in 2023. Varsho KK combo
  5. My friend, as usual my thoughts are too complex for you to wrap your head around. This time last year I would’ve said Vlad and Springer were big bats. Kirk close to it. Even Bo thought would be better. You could get Soto and have it not make a difference if the others guys aren’t better. It’s tough to say what should be done. In the meantime, I think at least a couple short term contracts for bats. As I’ve said, other teams are built for the payoffs too. Not like once you get 3 boppers and you’re golden.
  6. If Turner could play passable 2b, I think you do that too. You guys know how I feel about Biggio.

  8. Well I think Ohtani and Bellinger is out. So you’ll prob need at least 1 of Teo, Belt, JD, Hoskins, Soler Jays are really at a crossroads going into the season. They need to find out if last seasons underperformance is the new norm. If it is, they’re kind of in trouble long-term. So I don’t think it’s a situation where you feel good about your base and push all your chips in
  9. Don’t steal my lines, mate. Come up with your own comebacks
  10. Soler is a bull/bear guy. If you say look at his numbers last year, that’s a big bat for playoffs, I could see the opinion. Im not a big fan though
  11. Well, I can with bats because it’ll be quick. Matt Chapman is ranked #3 and he’s not a difference come playoffs
  12. As usual, you’d be better not to get fixated on the years. It’s why baseball AAVs are not rising anywhere close to NFL/NBA over time. 8 years at $33m AAV is a better way to look at it So by nerd math, if it’s $10m WAR you need to do 26 WAR in 8 years to break even
  13. Release your list to Twitter already. Fans around the country are waiting
  14. I’m guessing 10/400 is the baseline. If I’m in the industry, I’m not buying Toronto is going to make me beat my offer. He’s going to lose some level of marketability even going there.
  15. Well known they need to attach their name to every big FA or trade target. They make a call checking in like very other team, then leak it.
  16. Don’t forget the Jays are literally the lamest team in baseball and have been bounced in 2 or last 3 playoff appearances from pulling a SP for the BP prematurely. In 2023, they made a move no other team in baseball would’ve. So if anyone needs to count on BP depth, it’s the Jays. Especially since scoring is a premium
  17. This is a “building a playoff roster” move. RP is volatile but the teams with deep playoff aspirations will pay for the guys they can reasonably rely on being there in October. The question is if it’s the same Chad Green. Jays clearly think so

Damn. Didn’t see how well Schroder was doing. Honestly I was targeting him in fantasy in later rounds and think I forgot. Figured he would thrive in TO

Now you can feel your parent’s pain.
  20. No it doesn’t. Go to a ballgame. Chorus of boos if it’s the visitor. Collective groan if it’s the home team. Go get a beer with Grant and talk about walking to school when there was 3ft of snow and keeping the kids off your lawn
  21. It’s often been said that teaching is a thankless profession.
  22. Wow. Aren’t you supposed to be smart? There’s a huge difference. How many OF errors are there? Most plays are of the routine variety, with only a small % of balls being a max effort/difficult play. IF has two parts to their job, with throws always being part of it. They’re dealing with 100mph+ rips that will differentiate good fielders from bad at a much higher rate than OF
  23. So they should’ve had 4 GGs. Now they just need to sign Inspector Gadget to catch those Royce Lewis HR balls so they can win games scoring 1 run.
  24. Oh yeah. I’m not saying Jays, or a ton of teams would do it. Just they’re really scared for no reason. I’m sure the Cleveland Bronwns sponsors were pressured to drop out too by the mob of angry Twitter lesbians. It’s just not something that would gain any traction with most companies that aren’t scared of their shadow
  25. I think there’s no difference in fan/media reaction between NFL and MLB. The latter is just becoming more liberal than the former as a league. The only thing anyone talks about with D. Watson now is just how he sucks. Was never really a distraction once you got past the Twitter barkers. Once their initial bark fails, it’s kind of on the next cause
