  1. Lol. Try to tell Spanky there’s no tailgating anywhere
  2. At least he beat up the father-in-law and not the mother or his ex. They prob won’t come down too hard on him

When is Patricia getting fired? Long time coming. Clearly isn’t going to work. I wonder what Bill Beli’s understudy’s record is? The whole lot that went to HC. I’m guessing very bad
  4. Spank, I’m in your side for a change. I know he’s a rich kid but baseball is big business in the DR and I’m sure they’re lifting at least by 13-14. Most travel teams in the states start incorporating/encouraging weights by then. You can’t always tell if someone lifts at first glance. There’s a lot of soft-looking NFL lineman at first glance and I’m sure they lift weights regularly. All we know is Vlad is just now getting to be more serious about a body transformation, rather than just going through the motions. It’s really good news
  5. You’re comping Stroman to a guy coming off 2 great years when there’s always been good pedigree... vs a guy that didn’t even pitch prior year, the year before that he was really good, and they year before he was pretty forgettable But I’ll agree with your sentiment that there’d be a multi-year deal for him. We don’t know if something like 5/80 wasn’t floated out and Stroman thinks of himself as an ace. That’s an entirely possible scenario but you could be right. I’ll wait to see the next contracts roll in though
  6. How so? Gausman situation isn’t too different than Odorizzi last year. He prob could’ve gotten 3/40 off his strong year too. He bet on himself and lost. Gausman isn’t worth $19m/yr, he didn’t even have a rotation spot 2 years ago. If he has another strong year, it’ll help his cause for sure. Stroman we don’t know what, if anything, he received in terms of longer offer. The aav was probably shy of $19m as it would be pre-Covid after he didn’t pitch for a year and was a little checkered in the years before. He’s also betting on himself
  7. I’ll believe the Covid discount theory when I see it. Hasn’t manifested itself yet. If Gausman 3/40 is true that’s normal market value prob. I don’t know Boris personally but I can’t imagine he wants to hear the word Covid when negotiating Paxton’s contract for example. I think the teams that Covid knocks out are the teams that weren’t going to be in on the better FA. I think there will definitely be some posturing on owners parts but in the end, I think players will get what they expected. We’ll see
  8. Is wanker really that bad? Thought it’s kind of like funny insult
  9. You’re such a wanker. The last couple years you could’ve nabbed Gausman on the waiver wire in 20 team dynasty leagues. His career has been disappointing to this point. He’s solid but not a 1 or 2 for sure. He could be a 3 but xpos said on a good team he’s prob 4, what’s the problem?
  10. Lower it down to JBJ, La Stella, and Happ.. this way disappointment will be more unlikely
  11. It insinuated that the mother is probably dirt poor since she’s in a dirt poor country and so when her ex came around for the kid, she decided to shake him down. It is certainly not common for a mother to demand more money when the father comes to pick up the kid
  12. Underpinnings of racism in there Jim
  13. Yeah it’s kind of like the Bryant situation. Big name but not a guy where a team is going to hammer out a long-term deal on.. so it’s just basically a one year deal.

I actually had to look at his season stats. No doubt they’re solid. I guess it’s just in the games I’ve watched, the prime time games he hasn’t been very good

I enjoy watching the all-time greats but I think Brady should call it quits after this year while he’s still somewhat respectable. Don’t think he would be next year
  16. That has to be a load off his mind. Now he can make a mistake trading Bryant or others and not go down in flames quickly if it doesn’t work out
  17. Jays are like the guy at work always making sure you know he’s doing work. It’s good that they kick the tires on every FA but I don’t think it’s an accident that they always get linked to everyone

I’ve never seen so many holding penalties in like 1 min of game time like this Indy game

Carson sucks ass. Redskins and Giants 3-7 and only half game out NFE teams 2-18-1 outside their division. Eagles next few games are tough too. It’s possible 5 wins gets it done
  20. Real life just needs a “force trade” feature
  21. I lost track of where it ended up with everyone here talking about going after Yu but I think there was some agreement on something similar to Patrick Murphy + Riley Adams considering Cubs need to dump payroll
  22. What’s the problem with it? Girth helps the momentum, he’s saying he hopes he makes up for losing it with strength training .. dbag

“Oubre’s $14.4 million will cost the Warriors $68 million in taxes, meaning they are spending $82.4 million to get Oubre. Their total luxury tax bill will be $134 million. That’s just crazy money.” I guess it’s a bit apples and oranges but you don’t even hear the word Covid during NBA FA. Guys like Gordon Hay getting the Brinks truck backed up like it’s nothing. They start in a month vs baseball which is getting good news with possibly a lot of people vaccinated by April
  24. Maybe he’s just saying gross to giving up much for Harden. Not even a Rap fan and I think it’s an awful fit. I’m not sure Harden gets many teams over the hump but I think he’d be nice in Philly if they could hang on to both Joel and Simmons at same time
