    Yeah that’s what I’d think. I understand you can’t form an llc to accept the cash and I understand they closed loopholes (certain write offs and state tax things) for elite athletes but there’s gotta be something the crafty accountant can do to protect that cash. Not sure if there’s CPA here to enlighten us

    Yeah he’d get 10/340 in 4 years time all day and then some if he keeps it up. SD has obviously seen enough in games and in practice to consider him a generational talent

    I know there’s more to it but in the circumstance where all our SP were healthy and ready to go, if I needed to have someone start one game mI’d give it to Shoe over anyone but Ryu. I guess that’s less praise for Shoe than it is an indictment of the others

    I’d imagine it means they internally set their own offer and stick to that, rather than get swayed by agent smoke or into paying more than they’re comfortable with. Not saying which approach is best but that’s how I read it

    Yeah until new light comes on it, I’ll agree with Gimpy here. We’re not even just talking the Jays. With Boras at the helm, it’s a bit surprising all the major players apparently weren’t in on him at 1/8. It should’ve been a Kluber situation. He’s probably going to miss the first half of season or something
