  1. Seriously man. They post stuff on Twitter and the comments can be like “dude, you have a rating of 4, stop embarrassing yourself with this s***”. It’d make them think twice about their “sources”
  2. Imagine if you’re playing the lesser Mets team and line up for your winner-take-all WC game and a healthy Degrom is on the mound. So in that way, it makes sense if expanding the teams
  3. Bro, it’s baseball. A team with 20 less wins can still be the favorite/or pick em depending who is on the mound. The NBA recently tinkered with their play-in process for 7&8 seeds. Not the same but the higher seeds aren’t one and done if they lose and lower seeds need to win 2x
  4. Yeah I could live with 3 AS years for this window and then a couple meh ones. Wouldn’t be a fan of 6
  5. Someone should create some sort of algorithm and assign sports reporters (really all reporters) a rating. I think it would catch on
  6. If it doesn’t happen, the source needs to be outed and treated like a piñata
  7. At this point there’s a better chance of a tall boy staying full in your fridge past the weekend, than having a meaningful bb season. May as well root for some scabs
  8. Well, if you agree that settles it
  9. Vlad can’t even be as close to bad at 3b as Biggio was. Having a big butt isn’t a disqualifier. If anything, it centers his gravity maybe? Plus he may still want to play there. I could dig it if FF was coming
  10. BB looks like he’d be slapping singles the other way
  11. I wonder if anyone (Yahoo/ESPN) would do it?
  12. Are we having a board fantasy league if it’s scabs? I call dibs on a team right now
  13. I believe in unions, even though I’ve been on the other side. The reason is this, I know there’s a lot of s***** managers out there. Imo I would guess this is across many different industries than just mine. A s***** manager is one that manages one employee different than another for whatever reason, that may not be valid Productivity is something covered in the CBA in my industry at least. You need to establish reasonable expectations of production. Is there benefit to an employee going above and beyond, not really. But some do just bc that’s who they are. Management opportunities are also an option for some to work towards. In my experience, I’ve been successful working with them. It’s all how you approach it. The cost definitely, definitely sucks though. On the flip side, you aren’t subject to the s***** hiring situation many non-union places are in, less turnover, etc

3P% is something that seems cloudy, but all other facets of his game appear legit better than Toronto. Yeah he’s taking a few more shots this year but his FG% has been solid for a good stretch now. Rebounding and assists clearly up from Tor days. Dude is a legit star player. Yeah Tor got a title, but East has been crap shoot every year.
  15. I mean, you can say “orange man bad” towards the billionaire owners, or you can do the same thing about guys that get paid $40m to play a kids game. Neither stance is really helpful
  16. Here’s how most businesses, besides little mom&pop operations, work: People don’t go to see the owner. The owner/management try to put out an appealing product for the consumer. I’m not on the owners side, I merely understand their pov. As I do the players. There needs to be a middle ground and it’s just my opinion that I think owners are more in line with that thought rn than players
  17. Idk man. I just don’t see it. Just basic numbers, say a team takes in $350m top line rev., pays $150m to mlb player salaries, now all the other expenses (admin, milb, upkeep, finance charges, taxes, etc). There’s literally going to be teams where one player is making as much as the owner. What other solid business does that happen at lol

Have to deal going against DeRozan in fantasy for this long matchup. Dude is out of his mind this season. Guess Toronto just wasn’t right place for him
  19. There’s willingness at least. Listen, in fantasy I’m usually a person that puts a good offer out there right away. There’s some people that negotiate like Mlb is doing and I’m not a fan of that but I think a mediator would be productive.
  20. The players should focus on “winning” this round, in getting owners to concede more then they’d like to. That’s prob possible. You’re ok with the fact the players are trying to retroactively go back and win prior CBAs as well. Players aren’t looking to meet in the middle, they’re digging in. That’s why they don’t want a mediator
  21. The scab games would count though, right? Kind of comical. I’d pay attention at least
  22. High school years getting drunk and stoned and didn’t remember how it all went down. Makes sense to do though. I don’t think this looks good.
  23. I never even thought of that. The Replacements lol. I could totally dig it
  24. God damnit. Josh Jung going to miss most of season. Sob
  25. Yeah, I mean there’s prob truth to what you’re saying but also it’s not surprising that s*** is exploding. I don’t hear much about art with these millionaire millennials. I feel like it’s NFTs and other hipster collectibles. At least from reading the news (I should say the web)
