    I think Ray is going to continue being a stud. I’m completely open-minded about Gausman. I remember the years in the AL East of futility well but can respect the more recent success. We’ll know more by May I guess… if he chokes his first couple starts there will plenty of trolling by some people though..lol…it’s the internet

    I mean if you’re tightly wound and took the comment literally, yeah it’s stupid at the face of it. But if it’s just saying he’s inconsistent, it becomes a lot more reasonable. Anyways, as mentioned I like him and over the course of a season think he’s a solid guy to have at #2 but come playoff time he’s not someone that you’re going to overly confident he’s going to lock it down

You can argue the Jays are a playoff team even without him, and in that case, that nice WAR based on eating innings isn’t as meaningful. I like him as I’ve said, just stop going apeshit when someone says he’s not an ideal #2. It’s not an awful opinion even if you don’t agree with it

    Ok fine mods. I will rephrase. I regret that Covid was probably a thorn in the side of the Ray deal. I wish he was pitching for us right now Game 1, which might be the case if the Canadian government didn’t have strict rules that may have scared the Bluejays away from signing him
