  1. I remember it well amigo. It may have been something like, “we’re going to wait until he gets going” but was the same concept. Then a hole opened up for him.. As for “reasons”, it’s because you can’t think past Fangraphs. Baseball still has a human element. Biggio at one time looked like a core piece and so it’d be pretty demoralizing to just be like “you’re really sucking it up and need to go to the minors”…rather, it’d be better to bring up the nagging things he’s been battling and say take a bit of time to get your body right, you’re pressing right now etc
  2. There’s reasons they just aren’t obvious to you. Usually when someone goes on rehab, they don’t need to “wait until they start hitting”.
  3. If he is back, or halfway back, I guess one could say he really was tinkering with his swing in ST. You usually give pitchers a mulligan for that, but don’t think of it for hitters really
  4. Make or share…no moral high ground either way lol
  5. Speaking of JA, just saw he retired. Though prob not by choice lol. Tony Watson too but he prob still could’ve gotten minor league deal maybe
  6. Glad we didn’t go with the semi popular opinion here of trading for Votto. I know he’s a slow starter but woof…at this age you can’t take it for granted he’s going to go on a prolonged tear
  7. Yeah I’ve never been to Chicago but I’m sure it’s called Windy City for a reason. 30’s and wind prob sucks. Looks like full cloud coverage today. Crappy day for bb. I always hated going to my sons games in NY when it was March and freezing
  8. Kinda makes sense. Was like 80’s in Tampa for Feb seemed like and so 30’s and windy in Chicago prob isn’t fun
  9. Why wouldn’t you have put Corbin C in the dispersal draft. May be the #1 prospect in bb this year. That was weird. Too late now but I was assuming you weren’t going to let him have CC
  10. I can’t believe you updated your trade block for that. Almost as shameful as me talking about the resurgence of Dylan Bundy
  11. Confirmed
  12. Meh. It’s like suspending a SP for 3 games. Teams can work around it
  13. Actually what was racist was TL’s Vlad photoshop lol. Blatant racism
  14. In fairness, it was Jim who presented the statement. Can’t fault someone for going another way with it
  15. Keyboard warrior. Put some Bengay on your back and knees and cool yourself down
  16. Grayson probably should be promoted though. I don’t know what else he can do and it’s basically a service time thing there imo
  17. I’m being playful about Lewis but someone asked who would be this year’s Volpe and I think he’s got a shot at that
  18. Geez…like he’s Ken Griffey with back problems. It’s not terribly uncommon for a players best years to be the first taste and then they slide off after scouting reports become more solid on them Not to mention stuff Term said
  19. Belly .726 OPS now. Still wild swings each few games. Definitely encouraging sign that’s bolded though. I have him in bbdl and tried few ways to get him from Queen in BORED, to no success
  20. See, now I have two smarty pants lawyers saying I’m not trolling
  21. Chuckles didn’t have a say in the trade I’s assume. Even if he’s setting lineups without guidance, hard to imagine the FO wouldn’t know he’d find his way into the lineup more than late inning punch runner
  22. Even Laila has started openly mocking him in case you’ve missed it. Calls him Cavan Smallgio lol. Only half in jest. Honestly as a Bluejay fan I hope I get crow stuffed in my mouth on him. Also the other current options are just as s*****… so idk
  23. He was quietly dealing with issue that put him on the IL. If you need me to explain that, lmk
  24. I do bro. One thing that’s positive about being a cold sociopath is that I’m always objective about everything. I take the emotion of it. If I remember correctly, the IL stint came out of the blue and I was questioning it then. Ppl were like “oh, so that’s why he sucked”
