  1. I do know their own teams know, so I assume other teams would know. I just know I’ve read about drug suspensions that were going on behind the scenes where the team and player knew what was going on, but not the public
  2. Yes, but “interfering” could just mean making teams aware. I’m not sure Spanky meant stopping any deal I’m not sure they have to keep an investigation secret.
  3. Seems like it’s the same situation as Bauer. In terms of its all allegations, where based on the lawyers comments, there may have been a clear ulterior motive that comes to light. So same exact murky situation with same people taking same sides. When I commented before, I was thinking there were charges coming. Just read the details yesterday
  4. Jim lobbing a personal jab under the cover of an innocent comment lol. Par for the course

I think I remember you talking about how Cincy sucked earlier in the year. No?
  6. This is a fact you believe. In the US, most fans will best remember Halladay for his no-hitter in the post-season and his brief time in the spotlight on a competitive team
  7. Frank Thomas got that way from Nugenix:)
  8. I’m not going to engage with a clear homophobe. It’s just apparent from that clip it’s not really something relevant to what hat he’ll choose
  9. Apparently, because I’m not able to make up my own facts like you guys often do.
  10. Ah. I didn’t know you had a feeling. I’m on board now. Confirmed in my book
  11. All the simple minds at it again. There needs to be more context. How do you know that wasn’t just a question about his time in Toronto? You’d have to hear the whole press conference to get it
  12. Now they don’t have worry how many wins or strikeouts he gets I guess that’s the good thing when you find a 30th rounder. They haven’t been dreaming of the mega deal yet
  13. They struggle mightily with defensive metrics in 2023. Glad you Have so much confidence in the metrics from 30 years ago
  14. Ah. I thought it was a joke about bad blood. I see
  15. Why? It was ugly when they didn’t sign him in FA? I don’t recall
  16. Well, I never really “defended” the guy. I just said hold off on convicting him until it all comes out That’s basically amounts to defending nowadays
  17. Laila is actually a secret fan in case you didn’t know
  18. Dude what buried him was the accusations (many of the alleged worst acts like broken jaw and punching in the pussy untrue) and the pictures which proved to be highly questionable at the least as well. It was judge, jury, executioner from tru beginning. If you choose not to admit that, that’s for you. But by the time the alternative facts started coming out, it was too late
  19. Purposely throwing tobacco on a 10-month old baby isn’t something I can wrap my head around, so I’ll wait for the facts. I think it’s more likely he threw it at the wife with the baby in the vicinity. I’m sorry I separate the two actions. One I could understand more than the other.
  20. When you sort through the facts of Bauer, all you can really definitively say he’s guilty of is really bad judgement. I think he was more than held accountable for that. What buried him was cancel culture from the jump
  21. It’s kind of like when you go to a management seminar thing and they teach you about not doing this in business. Taking a very limited amount of information and telling yourself a story and making definitive conclusions from it. It’s not good This is where cancel culture comes from now. A lack of this
  22. No, man. You guys and your cancel culture are what’s wrong. You need to get all the details before you destroy someone. Look if someone really beats their wife and that’s generally how they are, honestly I wouldn’t object if they got executed. But you cant just toss everyone in the same bin. Take the Dana White example. Taking him and his wife’s story at face value, I mean sometimes couples drink too much and there’s scuffling If someone abused a baby, maybe a little worse than hitting them with tobacco, but seriously I would be first in line saying execute them. Get all the facts first
  23. It definitely matters. You’re talking two different kind of people in each scenario. Sorry you guys are so emotional in your thinking (as always). If you have a guy that accidentally catches a girl with an elbow when he’s going to punch another guy, is he on the same moral level as someone that cold cock punches a girl out?
  24. Sometimes I even lean into a wrong theory. I remember when the Bauer news broke and part of the story was he repeatedly punched her in the pussy (consensual part I think), I was assuming that probably happened as it’s oddly specific and was thinking what a fruit cake the guy was. Turns out that was false planted info to do maximum PR damage
  25. Maybe the guy is a true bum and did throw it at the baby. Certainly possible but more likely the baby wasn’t the intended target. If the baby wasnt, chalk it up to doing the judge, jury, executioner thing before you have the whole story
