    I guess the only plausible explanation, and it’s a stretch, would be that he was trying to avoid saying “neegro” as it should be, as it can be confusing what word is PC in the current day. So like going for nig-ro and it just doesn’t make it out that way, instead of being safe and saying “neegro” as it should be

    It’s comical that you’ll point out Jays aren’t well equipped with the pipeline and everyone agrees. I bring it up and get all sorts of pushback lol I hope all these guys at least add some fruity flavors when they put your balls in their mouth

    I still think the Belt thing was worth a shot. But the point is, you try something and if it doesn’t work, it’s only money lost on the bottom line with 1 year deals. But it’s not a good idea anymore when you ride it too long. I’m not saying that time is now but it can’t be far off

    I will agree with the belief Springer will be fine if he stays healthy. That should balance out any regression with Whitfield and KK

    2+ years until we possibly lose Bo or Vlad (and Springer is that much older). I don’t think it’s doom or gloom to look toward that and consider what’s it the pipeline. Most of the recent guys like Otto, Barger, Kevin Smith and anyone I can think of were flops/struggling now. Biggio and Espy look pretty bad, don’t think that’s just a sss. There has to be some guys that are legit mlb guys making pre arb money to have money for FA. Just don’t think there’s been good development with that. I’ve been a Captain Kirk supporter but what he is still seems up in the air

    I don’t follow these non Top 100 Jays prospects like you guys do, but there seems to be a ton of pimping and nothing that ever comes to fruition

    Hitting hasn’t been better. Claiming Vlad and Bo wasn’t the same regime for one and for two, it’s going to be like a one hit wonder trying to claim success from their hit 6 years back or whatever it is

    I think it’s fair to take a second look if you were drinking Jay juice and thinking of the Jays as one of the best teams in baseball. 6 weeks in there’s stuff you cant just attribute to a sss. Like 6-9 last night: Belt, Jansen, Biggio, and KK being an under .600 OPS rip as a whole. That would’ve been called trolling pre-season, but it’s objectively not surprising. The non-stuff RPs are being exposed. SP has been a bit of a roller coaster. So the series bringing the fans back to earth a bit is probably fair. I personally think the Jays are a clear WC team but just have warts that will make them come up short on the division.
