    How many good closers are there, considering it’s a 20 team league? There’s no devaluing going on with closers. You have 5 slots and if you choose to lock down saves with 3 good closers, that’s a strategy. Having 2 good closers and 3 strong holds guys is just fine.

    Well, I don’t disagree but it’s strayed from the overall point that I can respect that they took a hopeless perennial .500 team and made it a great season to follow. It was a bad move, but they clearly had soured on the guy. You have to wonder if he would’ve turned it around in Texas. Really hard to understand how the switch got flipped like that

    Seager and Semien contract are looking ok for next couple years at least. DeGrom I still wouldn’t call a waste. He can still be a playoff God one or two years. Should they have been a middling team, since you said they had no foundation? They gave the fans a competitive season. It’s still not over. Losing Jung hurt. If you want to drill them for the Chapman deal, I can get that. They whiffed. Jays did with Frasso to lessee extent but they also got 0 in return

    If I was writing a thesis on the boards fascination with CB, I would probably suggest there’s some sort of sexual undertones thing going on. Espinal doesn’t seem to have that same draw, even with the weight lifting.

    It’s not hard to understand why you don’t get it Because most teams have some sense when Cavan Biggio has a good week or two and they know he’s not a starter in the league. Teams are right on these things like 95% of the time, but the 5% always make a good story
