  1. I really wanted Vogelbach in the last round. Was pissed when you scooped him up.
  2. Paulino and Cowart will probably be dropped if they don't make big strides next year. Austin and Mondesi have been meh. I traded Zunino. Right now, my only good draft pick from Feb looks like Stroman. Hypothetically, I'd probably trade my entire February crop for my June crop.
  3. Anyone out of the race and building for the future want to buy way low on Jon Niese? Could use a solid vet SP to help me in this season's push.

Pretty annoying from Bernier's perspective. He wanted to get traded into a situation where he'd get a chance to be a #1.
  5. Something about Lynn just seems extra combustible too. I'm not sure exactly what it is... body, stuff, mechanics, statistical profile... Kind of hard to put a finger on, but I definitely wouldn't want to trade a position player under 28 of equal talent for Lance. It's also not impossible to see him getting bumped to the pen at some point, even if he's pitching well. All it takes is one or two bad months of batted ball luck, and then he could be looking up at five names on the Cards' stacked depth chart. He's always kind of "looked" like a reliever in a lame scouty way, anyways.
  6. "Adeiny Hechavarria (BTS #2" lol
  7. Esmil Rogers in the first inning, against the 3rb batter of the game: - 96mph Fastball (Two-seam) - 97mph Fastball (Four-seam) Esmil Rogers in the 7th inning, against Helton with 2 men on: - 94mph Fastball (Two-seam) - 95mph Fastball (Four-seam) Holds his velocity well enough. He's looked fairly dominant for 3 starts in a row now. 6.2, 4 hits, 5 K's, 2 BB, 0 HR, 2 ER. 7.0, 5 hits, 1 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 1 ER. (59.1 GB%) 4.0, 3 hits, 6 K's, 1 BB, 0 HR, 1 ER. 3.1, 3 hits, 4 K's, 2 BB, 0 HR, 0 ER. How long until the wheels fall off.... any start now, or does this guy have enough SP fuel to give Toronto ~15 decent starts, maybe like a Carlos V would? .... Probably not. Not with 2.5 pitches and a pretty poor K/BB and run prevention track record in all roles.
  8. I believe Spanky's window just expired and BTS made his pick. Someone go throw some water on Spanky. Hurl is up
  9. I really don't think Wong will be anything special. Maybe an average 2B. But if I'm Moz, right now I'd be thinking about selling the overrated Freese at value before he gets expensive. Matt Carpenter isn't really a natural 2B. Stick him at third in 2014, Wong at second. They could use a SS or a real CF going forward. David Freese + Matt Adams probably gets you a f***ing stud at one of those positions.
  10. I'll wedge a dingle up your frump, right? edit: don't even JOKE, hose.
  11. shut your stupid newfie cornhole, bike.
  12. Josh Johnson finally gets FIPpy. A 1.15 FIP game. Pre game FIP/xFIP: 4.61/4.07 Post game: 3.96/3.70 Still don't think he looked "great" though. I'm no scout, but I would thank the Rockies for some of those strikeouts.
  13. 2 more picks for me, and only two highlighted names left. I wonder if they'll last...
  14. Yeah, selling probably isn't an option. I doubt any GM would be interested in acquiring Lind on his own.
  15. I dunno. Maybe. Kinsler is pretty good there though, and he has a large major league sample size behind that. Profar only played 2B thirty-two times in the minors.
  16. Gose. Smith Jr. Pillar. Burns. Jimenez. The 2016 Blue Jays are going to have a REALLY strong bench!
  17. Kevin Pillar this year: 24 in AA .316/.364/.450/.814 5 HR and 14 SB in 68 games. 31 K's and 18 walks. Reed Johnson in 2001: 24 in AA .314/.383/.451/.834 13 HR and 42 SB in 136 games. 79 K's and 45 walks. Pillar on a 136 game pace for 10 HR, 28 SB, 62 K's, 36 walks. Fringe CF. 6'0" vs. 5'10". Both RH. The similarities are actually kind of remarkable.
  18. Well, it doesn't really matter. Anybody at AA or above who's worth owning while they are an NA will already be on a minor league roster at this point. So it's essentially a moot point. But if there is some prospect that is unowned and not in the big leagues yet, if they have played at AA and are in Yahoo's system, then you would be within the rules to add them and stash them as an NA or on your bench.
  19. Because Kinsler is the incumbent. And maybe it's a bit easier to teach a young guy new tricks.
  20. fingers crossed at this point. apparently no structural damage in there.
  21. Prospects may not be promoted to the MLB roster until they have played at least one game at AA or higher. Similarly, free agent prospects may not be added to a MLB man roster until they have played at AA or higher. Prospects may be kept on an MiLB roster until the following MLB conditions are met: Hitters: 500 career PA Pitchers: 26 career X [where X = GS + 0.5(relief appearances)] Once a prospect has crossed one of these thresholds, he must be promoted to the MLB roster no later than the next February Prospect Cutdown or the next Annual MiLB Draft Prospect Cutdown, whichever comes first.
