  1. I think sometimes when these picks are processed, I/we exit out of the spreadsheet too fast for the changes to save and stick.
  2. Actually, I'll just promote Ranaudo for now since I have some room.
  3. Anthony Ranaudo is getting cut, unless someone wants him for basically any draft pick upgrade.
  4. Excess picks dissolve as soon as the deadline passes. When we put together the draft list, all surplus picks will not be added to the list. Last year we did the same thing. Actually, we might have had them disappear as soon as the draft started, but it doesn't matter, same thing.
  5. Nah, you've got to actually promote him by the deadline. Sorry dude. I don't want to give someone wiggle room that is going to give them some kind of tactical advantage in a current matchup.
  6. I'm not a huge fan of the competitive balance implications when a guy is rolling out one active SP... But you also need to take into account unexpected injuries they are currently experiencing, upcoming real life promotions to their NA players or activations to their DL players, and the competitiveness of their offense. We've never really had to answer the question of when tanking becomes "tanking", so I don't really know. I think we can all agree that tanking for a high draft / waiver slot is a terrible, terrible strategy in this league, and likely all a team would be doing is setting themself up for a half decade of having no chance at the playoffs.
  7. Yup, it was getting pretty bleak. Maybe Billy Butler can draft upwards behind him? Starting next week of course.
  8. Speaking of Gordons, Alex Gordon is now up to a .355 wOBA with a career low K%. It makes me soooooooo happy that he might possibly still be very good at baseball.
  9. As soon as I read this, I watched Gordon Beckham make a hideous error in LA. BTS doesn't need that type of D!
  10. Polanco, Taveras, Singleton, Pinto. Tanaka, Ventura, Bundy, Paxton. Jealous of your young core, even if Pinto, Singleton, and Paxton aren't necessarily that sexy. The other five certainly are. I don't think I have a single ~25 and under of that type of pedigree. Stroman maybe, I guess. Harvey? Salazar has probably fallen out of that type of favour. Anyone notice that Sean Doolittle has a 39:1 K:BB?
  11. He was solid. Four straight years of ~4 ERA at Coors. That's not easy! Groundballs ftw. If Eddie Butler becomes Aaron Cook the Rockies should count their blessings. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but it's not far off.
  12. Calling up Stroman, cutting Jairo Beras officially. Still need to cut one of Anthony Ranaudo, Manuel Margot, or pick 97. Not sure which is the least valuable.
  13. Daniel f***ing Webb is a transaction deal breaker? Really?
  14. Spanky just Ricciardi'd himself? (Lincecum-Rios). Don't let it slip until it's official.... dude
  15. Sick of the f***ing lies in this league.
  16. Howie Kendrick will retire before he gets off the tradeblock. Poor guy.
  17. No, why would you say that? I'm not a big fan of Duffy. 97 from the left side and sublime minor league peripherals only mean so much. Nick Tepesch has a better career xFIP... just sayin'.
  18. Brandon Cumpton available for an early 2nd as well
  19. Slugging .265 in the CALL. My goodness. (the entire league slugs .411. 4.42 average ERA).
