  1. Really it just demonstrates that the value is basically the same from picks 2/3 - 100.
  2. he will be your Montero Freese went undrafted in ours too
  3. Depends what you're playing. Definitely play matchups. Pick on EDM, BUF, TOR, CAR, DAL, etc. 50/50s and Tournaments necessitate different types of teams. Goalies are expensive so most of the time I just grab the cheapest guy getting a start and use the saving on player upgrades.
  4. Just realized that Springer is only 5 months younger than Souza
  5. Another $30 profit for me tonight. Might need to quit my day job soon and go pro...
  6. Your offensive core is: Mesoraco Santana (29) Longo (29) Springer Ozuna And your pitching core is: Fernandez Wood Paxton Bradley Allen (Miley (28) and Eovaldi too I guess) I'd say that you've already done a rebuild and it's going fine. Some good talent to build around and not a core player over 29. I don't see any need for you to trade Longoria or Santana any time soon... unless Santana stands to lose 3B and C, in which case you might want to think about moving him to a contender that needs one of those this season.
  7. Sportsnet has a clip of the Nay home run from earlier today. http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/110901738/mark-buehrle-among-jays-to-get-work-in-intrasquad-game It's in the second video down.
  8. Are you doing the whole league? Should do write-ups for every team. Makes it fun.
  9. Old Boxy or New Boxy? He's a changed man..
  10. Just draft him and then trade him to Gibbers!
  11. Yeah in hindsight you probably could have gotten a lot more for #3 than it ended up being worth. It was hard to judge though because Olivera could have signed at any moment before the draft. It was probably worth holding on to it just for that chance. There was also a guy that Yahoo probably should have had in the system...
  12. I still think it's a viable strategy for a team that is either rebuilding or wants to take a specific high upside gamble. Marcum Semien went @ 21 and he's a nice pickup for any rebuilding team. Could be a long term infielder. Hunter Strickland and Jacob Lindgren strike me as guys that have a chance to be special - potential keeper quality relievers. But, having just praised the Strickland pick, TheHurl is also the cautionary tale. Broxton, Holdzkom, Pierce Johnson, and Jordy Mercer all taken between #6 and #26.... I'm just not sure that there's anything there at all.

Just flat out incompetent. You could pay a team $10M to take Phaneuf and it would probably be a good deal.
  14. There's no such thing as late in the waiver draft. The waiver draft is a flat circle.
  15. My speculative trade candidate adds in Chris Stewart and Jeff Petry paid off, I guess. Look out for me in the playoffs!
  16. I took Jason Grilli. jaysblue up and we're almost done 94 JB 95 ZRO 96 BOX 97 BTS 98 TRM 99 FTD 100 N49
  17. You'd be hard pressed to find anybody under 50 that doesn't enjoy watching Puig play.

  20. Therapist says I keep people at a distance as a defense mechanism.
  21. I kind of feel the same way. It would be nice if he could turn into a reliable veteran 1B/DH for few more years, thereby blocking Greg Bird's path to playing time.
