The park was s*****, but the atmosphere was fantastic. Hardcore fans filled the whole park, yes even right above the dugouts. The school night games were the games you wanted to be at. Fans were ruined by the sixth inning, then the hardcore heckling started and everyone loved it. Nowadays you'd be getting escorted out of the RC.

For those who can remember this. Watching this brings the old heart pounding excitement and disappointment back again. Classic series.

I'd keep Edwin for the long haul, trade Bautista for sure. EE will be a durable,reliable middle of the order bat for at least another 5-7 years,primarily at DH. Build the line up around him.

I'd rather keep the prospects and remain competitive for years to come. Build a system like the Braves and Cardinals, and that means you have to start sometime and the time is now. A lot of teams face the temptation of going for it, but you have to decide what's best now and going forward. I think building a competitive team for years was AA's original plan until Beeston and the influx of approved spending money came into play and messed him up.
