He's in a place where he has no intuition in how the pitcher may attack him. It's hard to make educated guesses when you're not working with much info.
Bo needed to let the ball travel a bit more before catching it. The ball was clearly not going to bounce, so no need to go out that far to catch it. If Bo straddled the bag, the runner is easily out.

How about piecing together a start with starting Richards and have Pearson follow. They hopefully give us six innings and then go from there. I think a Richards and Pearson combo could work well given the contrast in stuff.
Yeah.. I just wish in good hitting counts (2-0 / 3-1), we would be a bit more aggressive and look to drive it. Not to necessarily over commit, just splash a bit of aggressiveness to the current approach.
