    Thanks for not being an ass Edwin. Shapiro probably waits until the offseason, but I think he'll try and sign Edwin and let Jose walk

    I like Moss because we can use him at 1B/DH if we lose Edwin, and he can cover the corner OF spots in a pinch. Provides a bit of flexibility. Plus he's a lefty bat, not too old, and should come on a relatively fair deal.

    Jose could have avoided all of this by just coming out and saying "I want to test free agency and see what i'm worth". Instead he throws out an absurd number, and calls ownership cheap for not meeting his demands. Furthermore, Shapiro/Atkins should come out and say "we want to see how the year plays out and we will be offering Bautista a contract after the end of the season" If you think Bautista didn't have major attitude in his last couple interviews, you aren't paying attention. He started all of this crap when he simply could have said "I don't think its appropriate to make comments about contract negotiations" and that would have been the end of it. Just look at the difference between how Price handled things vs Bautista.

    Yeah its funny, so many things that coaches try to teach you when you're young are so completely wrong. I went and watched some other players' swings, and yeah alot lift the back foot. Maybe not so much as Tulo in that GIF but yeah its visible.

    How is The Show different from any other sports game? They all have marginal improvements year to year. Even with NBA 2k vs Live, or Fifa vs PES.

    Just noticed something weird with his new swing. He lifts his back foot/pivot foot and brings it forward a good 8 inches or so in the middle of the swing. Isn't the back foot usually planted and used to push off of? Kinda weird

    I am. Just the tone and attitude he displays in his interviews. He's coming off as super entitled and making it seem like the organization "ows him".

    I personally don't give a s*** who plays for the Blue Jays, as long as they are competitive. They could completely gut the team every 2 years and I would still cheer for them. I don't see the need to keep Bautista. He is going to cost way more than what he's worth. He's given us a great 8 years, but its time to part ways.

    A funny end to this debacle would be if Bautista fails to hit 25 homeruns this season and doesn't manage to crack 3 WAR.

    Yeah Bautista has always been pretty bad with the media. He has a big mouth. I'm just waiting for the inevitable complaints about the Turf now.
