    Sometimes, I wonder if you actually do hope the Jays fail. Maybe you should become a Redsox fan. Nobody is forcing you to follow the Jays.

    Pretty sexy, but it would probably take more to pry Gonzalez and Blackmon. May be better off just trying to trade for Gonzalez.

    Bruce was a great hitter 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now his numbers are back this year. He's a butcher with the glove but he would be a good DH for 13million. A good lefty bat to break up the RHH.

    The fans will come out if the team is WINNING. I want Shatkins to do what they think is best for the team, not what the fans want. Where would we be now if we had signed Price for 200 million? If Shatkins think letting Bautista and Eddy walk is the right move, then I back them 100%

    If Ortiz gets into the HoF, then anyone who voted for him and not Bonds should kill themselves.

    Its the ever-loved claim "good pitching beats good hitting". Except when it didn't, like in the World Series last year.

    Guys, I really don't think Donaldson will be in HoF talks. He started his career way too late. Donaldson has as good a chance of being in the HoF as Bautista.

    Not really the same. Reyes always relied on speed. Speed is the first thing to decline. He's technically still a .280 hitter though. Reyes' defense became sloppy and that was more of a problem than the hitting. Tulo is a far better player.

    There was an article on fangraphs recently explaining that Tulo may have been slumping due to a decline in batspeed. The remedy was to have him swing a lighter bat and sacrifice some power. Some people noted that Tulo has been trying different bats over the last couple months.

    Seems like Tulo finally switched to a lighter bat. Singles all day with the occasional homerun... But at least he can actually hit a fastball now.
