    My only beef with Tatis is that he’s a very dumb base runner... why is he stealing 3rd with 2 outs and Machado at the plate? His crazy slides are cool but there’s so many times he should have been thrown out on the basepaths. I don’t watch him enough to know how many times he HAS been thrown out/picked off because i’ve only seen the highlights.

    Posting this again so its not buried: Just found out and I think its important to note, Jayce Tingler was upset because he gave the sign to Tatis to take the next pitch and Tatis either missed the sign or disobeyed. I agree that Tingler has a right to be mad about Tatis missing the sign, but the issue is why is he telling Tatis to take in the first place?

    MLB trying to actively market the young guys like Tatis, and then you have his own manager benching him and teammate upset with him for hitting a f***ing homerun. Absolute disgrace and these guys need to be chucked out for the greater good of the sport.

    The idea is to get away from the mentality of "having a window" to compete by consistently drafting/developing good prospects and sustaining a solid farm. The org needs to do what they think is best with those guys long term, we shouldn't be trying to rush their development

    Whatever, season is a wash anyways. Would be nice to have a legit backup option at shortstop like Groshans. Maybe Espinal gets the job and shows some promise. Hope its not Panik and Drury sharing duties at SS

    This team is kind of a joke. Could easily be a few games over .500 but they just aren’t ready to contend anyways. So many mistakes. Even if they somehow made it to the playoffs, there’s no f***ing way Montoyo would be able to manage a series win. Need to clean out the coaching staff next season and reset.
