  1. Imagine being an MLB pitcher and you are unable to throw strikes
  2. This team has just never been able to hold onto big leads. It was even a problem last year. Back end of the bullpen is absolute trash
  3. Well, you were right. Thanks for nothing Trent
  4. Nope. Runner on 2nd extra innings stayed but no more 7 inning games
  5. If im guessing, they probably want him in the lineup for game 2 instead. Need less offense with Gausman on the mound? But yeah kind of odd he couldn’t DH game 1 and play RF game 2. He can’t handle 8 at bats in a single day?
  6. I hadn’t looked too deeply into their numbers this season, that’s pretty shocking. You may have convinced me about Espy leadoff.
  7. What’s wrong with having Lourdes or Chapman leading off? Both are clearly better hitters than Espinal and Tapia
  8. Yeah just lowering the mound would fix the pitching dominance issue IMO
  9. Hell yeah. La Makina gotta take it to the NEXT LEVEL
  10. Agree with this. Everyone has recency bias… Berrios and Bo suck, Biggio is a waste of a roster spot, Ryu forgot how to pitch, Kirk should be sent to AAA, Espinal should hit leadoff, etc
  11. I can’t believe you’ve done this
  12. Cleveland and double headers, name a more iconic duo
  13. It will be nice when enough people have him on the IL and I don’t have to read his quote tweets anymore
  14. Don't label me as a hater plz. I liked the trade and love the contract. He's a great fixture for the rotation as a #2/3 guy.
  15. Of course he's good, I never said he wasn't. If you click on that fangraphs link Spanky posted and sort by innings pitched, Berrios is #6. He's a workhorse and that's valuable. I just don't consider him an "Ace". Like if there was a mock fantasy draft of just starting pitchers, he's definitely not in the top 20. But anyways, we're just arguing about the term "Ace" which we clearly have different opinions on.
  16. His value is tied to his health and amount of innings he’s pitched, much like Mark Buehrle. Gotta stop quoting cumulative WAR totals, he’s not better than a lot of the pitchers below him on that list that have only been around for a couple seasons (Bieber, Burnes) or guys that have had injuries (Strasburg, Severino, Paxton, Syndergaard, Flaherty, etc)
  17. Yes. Guaranteed you will have some posters come and argue he’s an ace in a few minutes.
  18. Nuts. How do the Phillies consistently have the worst pen in the majors. Wonder if Bryce ever sniffs the playoffs again or if this is a new Trout situation. Mets will be spending like Yankees 2.0 for the next while and the Braves are a solid young team.
