Tipping pitches plus 2 errors in the first that cost them
  2. Stangstag
Dude its 2022, not 1982. Averages have generally been lower the last decade or so, and especially this season offensive numbers have been down across the board.
  3. Stangstag
It does suck, but its still baseball and anything can happen. Pirates swept the Dodgers earlier this week.
  4. Stangstag
This is just not true. Home runs win games. Look at any of the big world series games or WS winning teams (minus the 2015 Royals). All of the top teams are also the top homerun hitting teams.
  5. Stangstag
They’re 13th overall for OBP and most of the guys have had rough starts. Average/offense is down around the league
  6. Stangstag
    You are confused sir
  7. Stangstag
Solo homer after a double play… sigh.
  8. Stangstag
Yeah it was especially noticeable on that one batter he had 0-2 and threw a beautiful Splitter middle of the plate like 1-2 inches low. That’s a pitch you normally swing at.
  9. Stangstag
    Vlad still not wearing glasses???
  10. Stangstag
Yeah he was clearly fighting himself but it wasn’t even that bad. Teo and Vlad missing 2 easy outs made things look a lot worse.
  11. Stangstag
Why are they continuing to pitch this guy outside??
  12. Stangstag
Stopped throwing the splitter completely… and looked good that inning. Interesting
  13. Stangstag
They’ll figure it out, I just think maybe Gausman/Jansen aren’t on the same page right now
  14. Stangstag
    Yeah maybe…
  15. Stangstag
Maybe has to do with Jansen catching him lately instead of the other catchers?? I recall Gausman pitching badly in his first game against the Rangers, Jansen caught him there too IIRC.
  16. Stangstag
This is just a bad game in general from everyone. Defense has been bad and Gausman isn’t sharp. Bad game calling from Jansen. Bad day all around
  17. Stangstag
Gausman normally gets ahead with a first pitch strike… for some reason today he keeps throwing splitter out of the zone for ball 1
  18. Stangstag
    Agreed
  19. Stangstag
The pitch sequencing seems dumb today
  20. Stangstag
Defensive positioning has been awful today
  21. Stangstag
    Kirk is extremely slow jesus
  22. Stangstag
Manoah is wearing glasses in the dugout
  23. Stangstag
f***ing terrible luck that inning. 4 ground ball singles and 2 defensive errors
  24. Stangstag
Imagine being a major league baseball player and not wearing your sunglasses in the field on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Unreal
  25. Stangstag
Aaaand that would’ve been a double play to end the inning. Jesus christ can’t make errors like that. Why isn’t he wearing sunglasses??
