    Dumb. If you think what he said was racially motivated and problematic, suspend him like 5-10 games or something. If its only serious enough for a 1 game suspension he probably shouldn’t be suspended at all. Maybe they’re giving him 1 game for “instigating a fight” or something? But there weren’t even punches thrown… idk this is dumb

    In May, Espinal has more extra base hits than Vladimir f***ing Guerrero. Nuts. Kinda shows how good and bad each guy has been

    Bo has been completely fine since the start of May, his numbers are starting to climb towards career norms. Springer has been good/as expected. Teo has been awful. Gurriel has been awful. Chapman has been slightly underperforming if you think he’s just the 2020/2021 version going forward. Vlad has been seriously disappointing. Its looking more and more like like 2021 was the outlier and 2019/2020 is more what he is. Obviously you expect him to regress a bit from 2021, but you also expect him to improve as he ages… however he’s taken a massive step back this season compared to last year. Vlad has a 98 wRC+ in the month of May and only 3 extra base hits. (1 homer and 2 doubles). That’s like Eric Hosmer level. He’s not hitting for any power whatsoever. Espinal has been great though so that’s nice to see.

    Seeding goes: 1 - division winner with best record 2 - division winner with 2nd best record Both get a bye 3 - division winner 4-5-6 are seeded based on record

    And to clarify, YES. That means even if you win the division you potentially still have to play a wildcard series before the ALDS if you aren’t a top 2 team. Unless im wrong on this, but that’s what I read

    The wildcard game is gone now. Playoff structure now is: 2 best records get a bye to the ALDS 4 wildcard teams each get a best of 3 series (the 2 teams with the better records get home field advantage for all 3 games) So basically unless we have a top 2 record in the AL, we’ll have a 3 game series vs one of the Whitesox/Rays/Angels/Astros.

    The hitting strategist is Dave Hudgens, former hitting coach of the Astros (2015-2018). So yeah they basically have 3 hitting coaches. Maybe the problem is they’re teaching opposing strategies or something? Idk it just seems crazy that this lineup is consistently failing to get hits with RISP, and they’re barely hitting homeruns when they’re supposed to be a power heavy group.

    Yeah nah I agree. Realistically, if they miss the postseason then maybe they can him. That SHOULD be the case. But I’m not even sure of that

    No way that’s gonna happen. Just gotta hope the pressure/expectations don’t sink the team this year. They SHOULD be great, like top 5 team. This is frustrating to watch.
