Is that 2 DH starts in a row for Vlad plus an off-day in between? Something up with him? Lineup looks good though

Bingo. Don’t give up the future/sustained success to try and build a “guaranteed WS team”. It rarely works, and the underdog playoff teams win all the time. See: 2021 Braves, 2019 Nats, multiple BETTER Washington teams not making it to the WS, 2018 Redsox beating the juggernaut Dodgers, 2014 Giants winning it all, 2014 miracle Royals making it to the WS, 2015 Jays NOT making it to the WS, 2011 Cardinals, I can keep going on…
  4. Stangstag
Did you completely miss the Washington Nationals winning the WS with exactly 1 good reliever in 2019?? Anything can happen in the playoffs.

I think he forgot what the count was or didn’t realize it was 2 strikes on Turner already. Dude is asleep at the wheel

How cool is it that Moreno gets to debut against the Tigers and Miguel Cabrera? I would bet Miggy is probably like his hero since they’re both Venezuelan and Miggy is a legend.

Above and beyond what any of us ever expected

Ohtani putting the Angels on his back tonight
  9. Stangstag
Twins defense is poo. They let an easy infield popup drop because nobody really called for it, then Hicks hits a homerun to tie the game. Then Joe Smith continues to walk IKF and balk him over to 2nd
  10. Stangstag
8 homeruns already in this game jesus. Its only the top of the 6th inning EDIT: Make that 9 homeruns. Yankees tie it
  11. Stangstag
Getting lit the f*** up. Love to see it. Twins aren’t a joke team like everyone was claiming
  12. Stangstag
I guess kinda? Although Vladdy debuted in Toronto I recall

    Crazy pills

    Kelenic is another
  15. Stangstag
Yeah he had great power in AA but for some reason his power numbers took a nosedive in AAA while his AVG and OBP remained great. Maybe the new ball? Idk
  16. Stangstag
All the batters on the Angels are using different Nickelback songs as their walkup music tonight. And they lose 1-0 to the Redsox. 14 losses in a row, a franchise record.

Catching for Gausman in his first MLB start?? Okayyyyy lets go
  18. Stangstag
Depends how he looks with the stick, but I feel this could backfire spectacularly. Unless the front office plans on moving Kirk/Jansen over Moreno. Right now Moreno is an excellent trade piece. He either plays well and his stock goes up, or he looks completely overmatched and his value plummets.
  19. Stangstag
Agreed. Wind f***in robbed him today
  20. Stangstag
I was being 100% sarcastic if it wasn’t clear. LetTheBallFly is very easy to get worked up
  21. Stangstag
I didn’t say full time, just think they should try him there since Vladdy is still struggling. Also he hits left which this lineup sorely needs.
  22. Stangstag
I’d like to try Collins at 1B a bit maybe until Vlad busts out of this slump. Collins is a big lefty with power, look at what he did today. Underrated player, could be the next Rowdy for us.
  23. Stangstag
Yeah Yankees went through a rough stretch last year where they weren’t hitting at all and it almost cost them a playoff berth. Boone was definitely in the hot seat
  24. Stangstag
Lol yeah true. The schedule balancing, division alignment, and playoff structure could still use some work. Just f***ing seed the teams 1-6 by order of record and forget this “division winner”

    Overreacting
