Big difference between suburbs and small towns IMO. I’d personally never want to live in a town with under 20k people or something like that. But then again im still a youngin so maybe that’ll change as I age. I just don’t like being too far from malls and transit and such. I can’t see myself ever moving more than an hour away from a major metropolitan city.

How many times do we have to say this… it would not be beneficial to move Bo to another position mid-season in a competing year. I guarantee you he makes more errors at 2B than he would at SS if you just plopped him there with no practice. Same as what happened with Vlad moving from 3B to 1B without any practice -

Yuck. From just watching he seems to be hitting the ball better lately but he’s getting a lot of bad luck. A lot of line drives and deep flyouts to CF/RF, which usually means good things for him. He has some terrible at bats though, like in the 9th today. I think he’s ok hitting in the 6th spot until he shows he can have a better approach. Definitely shouldn’t be hitting top 4/5 at this point, he’s one of the worst hitters on the team stat-wise this year.

Im just hoping they don’t stick Merrifield in the leadoff spot. Plz don’t. He should be fine hitting in any of the 7-9 spots.

Can’t ever win a series in Tampa. Ah well, i’ll take 1-1 with one game being a Kikuchi start. Not like they got blown out. Rays pitching is good. Hoping for a strong series in Minny

Beasley to the Pirates for cash is such garbage. I thought the Jays had all this money to make moves, yet they gave away a possible bullpen piece for nothing to offset cash coming in from Merrifield and Bass? Wtf? Am I missing something here?

The other question is… will Merrifield forfeit half of his salary rather than get vaxxed? Because if he doesn’t, he’ll have to either stay in US or Canada and only play when the team is on the road/home. That is potentially a lot of money for a guy that hasn’t made a huge amount of cash in his career.

Im guessing one of Lourdes/Teo gets dealt in the offseason. I understand not wanting to trade one of them mid-season and possibly ruin clubhouse mojo. Springer in RF next year with a Tapia/Merrifield platoon situation in CF. Horwitz could be in the mix for RF/LF too. Other than that the team is pretty much already set next year. I rate this deadline as just OK. Shored up the bullpen a bit, Bass is sneaky good and Pop could contribute over the next few years. White should be a decent 5th starter option along with Kikuchi maybe. Merrifield is better than the stats he’s put up this year IMO. I’m fine with not selling off our top 3-4 prospects for a slightly better shot in the postseason this year which is already a crapshoot anyways. Fangraphs has the Jays at 97% chance to make the playoffs and that’s good enough IMO. Orioles got weaker and we still have tons of games against them. That will decide our season I feel
